Which restaurant would you choose to have a 'special occasion' dinner at?
It is for my 40th.:rolleyes1
Looking for a 1 credit TS...Can be in a park or at any resort.
We have NO food preferences..we LOVE all food!:lovestruc Would also enjoy a nice glass of wine...or two:rolleyes1
We will be dining with 2 children (5 & 7) that are not picky eaters.
Prefer NO characters (for this particular meal:rolleyes: ).
Any thoughts or suggestions? :)

We just returned to reality this morning..
And my personal faves were Coral Reef & Liberty Tree Tavern...

Coral will even do a custom menu for a keepsake, if you let them know in time.. We had YUMMY food, great service and we landed a seat right by the tank...

They even have divers that will wish you happy birthday!!!

Have a Blast !!!!!!

My vote is for Boma. Different enough to satisfy those of us wanting something other than standard food but still with plenty for children. My children were 9 and 5 when we visited last November and loved it. It was our favourite non-character meal of a three week holiday. DH and I both did the decent thing and tried the wine flight (we had red but also available in white) which was a nice idea. Nice to wander out and see the animals too. I turned 40 last month and sadly didn't celebrate at WDW but did celebrate my 39th there!!! Have a fantastic birthday.

Having a toddler, ANY dinner out is a special occasion LOL. With that being said, our res (and we are on ddp) are for Kona Cafe, Boma, Le Cellier, Coral Reef, 1900 Park Fare (the hour and the location works for our interest in seeing Spectromagic, followed by Wishes), and Hoop dee doo (using 2 for this one).

Honestly, if I was looking for a special occasion place, I would make a res at a 2 TS restaurant or a more upscale dining restaurant (even if that meant paying cash for that one).

On another note, I make reservations for people (dining, theatre, travel plans, etc...) on the job, and I recently made a dinner res for a couple celebrating their anniversary at Hoop dee doo Revue. Apparently, it's a tradition for them and this will be their 15th year.

I guess special is what you make of it ... you can always do dinner followed or preceded by a great activity (carriage ride, rent bicycles, fireworks, Fantasmic, etc...).

Happy Birthday!
