Hello everybody. I just booked a trip to Disney World for March 22-29. Was thinking of taking it easy on this trip and go to parks to ride my favorite rides, check out some of the other resorts, and eat at some restaurants I haven't tried before. So I was thinking of going to the California Grill (assuming I can get a reservation), the Grand Tea at the Grand Floridian, and T-Rex at Downtown Disney. I'm not sure about Epcot since I've already eaten at Coral Reef and the Garden Grill. Once again any comments, ideas, and suggestions are appreciated.

Alfredo's in Italy at EPCOT is a MUST!! Spoodles on the Boardwalk is also delicious. 50s Prime Time Cafe is great and has a fun and entertaining atmosphere. Crystal Palace is a wonderful dinner buffet, and Cape May has a fantastic breakfast buffet. Wolfgang PuckExpress in DTD is a must as well as Ohana at the Polynesian. Enjoy!!:thumbsup2

I read the dining reviews religiously for months before I booked ADRS, along w/ checking menus at allears.net, I think.

We travelled w/ my mom (62), DH, me & 3 kids 7-11. EVERYONE's favs were Le Cellier, Ohana & Boma; we will be rebooking those for this trip. Our other meals were good and we would eat at these restaurants again, we just want to try some other spots...we also did Narcoosees, Kona, Le Chefs and Wolfgang Pucks.

Our fav CS are Wolfgang Puck Express, Sunshine Seasons, Flame Tree and Pecos Bills Cafe. None others were memorable, but none bad, either.

Alfredo's has been replaced by Tutto Italia in the Epcot Italy Pavillion and I highly recommend it. The food and service was authentic and wonderful. For a 1 TS credit restaurant you really get a great bang for your buck. Check out their menu if your family likes Italian. Many will swear by Le Cellier (Candada pavillion - Epcot) & it certainly is another great use of 1 credit. I've never been but the reviews are generally very high. It's hard to get a table there at times.

Are you staying at a resort with restaurants?
The Grand Floridian has some excellent choices, as does the Polynesian (we love the Kona cafe' there) and Animal Kingdom Lodge if you have an adventureous palate and don't mind travelling a bit to a resort to eat.
Kids really enjoy the Whispering Canyon Cafe' in the Wilderness Lodge & you certainly won't leave there hungry! It's BBQ style and they whoop it up in there.
As far as the tea at the GF - don't bring your appetite there!! It's more for the atmosphere...we had a lovely time there, but my hubby was starved after those tiny finger sandwiches! If you have any questions feel free to PM me, I love to talk Disney Dining!!

I would wholeheartedly recommend Le Cellier (although I may be somewhat biased...:goodvibes ) as the best in Epcot, if not WDW. Les Chefs de France is also very good in my experience but reviews are mixed.

The restaurants at the Polynesian are both very good. Of the two I lean towards 'Ohana but that's just my opinion.

I like Cape May for the all-you-can-eat clams and mussels (although people from Boston tend to grumble that they aren't really that good).

But probably my favourite restaurant at WDW is Boma at the Animal Kingdom lodge. Almost everything on the buffet is full of flavour and very different from the other options at WDW (other than Jiko, which is supposed to be even better).

As for CS I would recommend Flame Tree Barbeque or the CS Yak and Yeti at Animal Kingdom, Kringla Bakeri og Kafe at Epcot, ABC commissary at DHS, and Columbia Harbor House at the Magic Kingdom. At Downtown Disney I would recommend the Wolfgang Puck express- if you're on the Dining Plan especially. A very good deal for a counter service credit.

Then you have not enjoyed the real experience of dining at Epcot, that is an evening at the World Showcase. I like Chefs de France, San Angel Inn and Le Cellier myself, but all have their advocates

Too true. In my last trips to Epcot, I always seemed to rush through Epcot even though I would spend two days there. The dining always got shorted. Not this time. I've read good reviews about Le Cellier. So maybe this year will be the year that I eat there.

I love BOMA and intend to eat there again this year. However this year I have my heart and stomach set on the California Grill. So any comments and suggestions about it would as always be greatly appreciated.

Ah...California Grill. My two cents:

-The flatbreads are delicious. Really good.
-If you're a sushi fan the sushi is also really good. I can't recall what I tried (suffice to say it is no longer on the menu) but my mom had the 'Snake in the Grass' and said it was fantastic.
-Both times I went I had a solid, red-meat entree. And both times they were very good, but nothing amazing. For me the appetizers are the real show here, but I suppose the other entrees might be stellar. I just don't think the steak here is as good as Le Cellier.
-The deserts are all very good, but I didn't see one as much better than the rest. Just get what you feel like.
-I would discourage you from coming here if you're on the regular dining plan. It just isn't worth it without the appetizers.
