We will be visiting WDW soon and hopefully, my son will join us a few evenings (he may be there on business). So, I made a few reservations for 3,
hoping he will be able to attend. If I find out that he will not be there, what happens if I keep the reservation for 3 and only 2 show up. I am willing to pay extra for the "no show". But, if I try to cancel and rebook, I know that I will lose the reservation. Any suggestions??

You don't have to do anything and will not be charged extra. It wouldn't hurt to call the dining line and change your reservation from three to two, but you aren't expected to and will not make a differnce. They don't have many two top tables at WDW. Most of them are at least four tops so usually the change in either direction from two to four people (or vice versa) won't even change the table you would be at.

If one of the booked restaurants is CRT or a dinner show, you should probably remove him by the day before. Otherwise, no harm in showing up without him.

CRT is two days, is it not?

(Then again, it's been a few years since I've eaten there.)
