Restaurant Reservation Question

I have an upcoming DVC vacation. Staying at a DVC resort, I made restaurant reservations 180 days in advance, linking them to my hotel stay. Now it appears that I may be spending the week at a friend's house not far from the Magic Kingdom. If I cancel my hotel reservation, will I automatically lose the dinner reservations?

We have collected our favorite Disney restaurant direct phone numbers over the years, and have called direct for reservations. They are not connected to your reservation at the resorts if you so choose, and many times they have availability where the Disney Dining system has none! They do keep some room for direct reservations. Not everybody stays on property or at a local resort.
