My husband and I (no kids) are going to Disney in October, and I was hoping that some of you would share any recommendations for dinner. We'll be staying at the Boardwalk Inn and are not renting a car, so anything that would be fairly easy to get to would be preferred. . . Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :)

Flying Fish is one of the best restaurants on property and it's right there on the Boardwalk.....there and Spoodles....but I'd do Flying Fish.;)

Just last night had an absolutely delightful dinner at Yachtsman's Steakhouse. It is an easy stroll from the BWI. The tenderloin medallions were wonderful. John, the server was excellent, unobtrusive, yet completely attentive. Cost with wine , and without dessert, for two adults was $106. The desserts looked heavenly, but just couldn't find the room!

Flying Fish is an excellent restaurant. We dine there on every trip. For a casual night there is ESPN. DH loves the wings there. Beaches and Cream are within walking distance for another casual meal. Cape May Cafe is a very good seafood buffet with plenty of selections for seafood and meat lovers. It is located at the Beach Club. There are also many restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin. Palio is an upscale Italian Restaurant. Also, you are within walking distance to EPCOT. There are many choices there. One of my favorites is Chefs De France. Try the Boardwalk Bakery for casual breakfast. It is so peaceful to sit on the Boardwalk in the early am enjoying a muffin and cup of tea.

Understand that from where you are staying you can walk to about two dozen restaurants -- at BW, at Yacht/Beach Club, Swan/Dolphin, Epcot and MGM. Flying Fish at BW is good. ESPN Club at BW is good for huge burgers and the like (and lots of sports on TV), Spoodles I don't care for, Big River Grille at BW is also good for burgers and steak sandwiches, Cape May Cafe at Beach Club has a good "clam bake" buffet at dinner (and if you don't like seafood it has plenty of other stuff); Yachtsmen's Steakhouse at YC is good for steaks, Palios at Swan is excellent for Italian. The World Showcase at Epcot is an 8 minute walk and there you have lots of good restaurants--favs include Teppanyaki at Japan, San Angel at Mexico, and Biergarten at Germany (but there are many others).

To start with, don't limit yourself to just the restaurants around the Boardwalk and Epcot. Aside from the restaurants in the parks, it's a good idea to try restaurants at different hotels (you might see a hotel you want to stay at on a future trip) and downtown disney. Other than that your question is pretty general. I could name half the restuarants in Disney. Specific to the Boardwalk, Spoodles was quite good. Flying Fish was very good, but for the money California Grill and Jiko are better. Cape May Cafe has a good brunch. The Bakary is great for a simple breakfast. Happy Planning.. We'll be at the BW in a week.

My recommendations in that area are ESPN for pbu fare and Shula's in the Dolphin for the best steak on property. Shula's is a bit pricey but well worth it.

Palio is a great option for a romantic dinner for two. Great food, and very good wine choices too.

I would definitely recommend the Cape May Clam Bake at the Beach Club, we went on our last trip and truly enjoyed it. There are other foods on the buffet if you don't like seafood, like my DS, we all left there stuffed. Another favorite of ours is in Epcot, it is Teppanyaki Japanesse steak house. We had dinner there and enjoyed the atmosphere, the cooking show and the food. We also have been to ESPN, but found the food run of the mill.

Jiko Jiko Jiko!!! Here's the plan, Spend some time strolling around the Animal Kingdom Lodge lobby area, take advantage of the rocking chairs with a view of a Savannah full of animals and then try to dine on an evening when there is African storytelling around the Fire Pit after dinner.

We've done it all in WDW and we've had no better evening than the one we spent at the Animal Kingedom Lodge.

Good Luck!!!:p :p :bounce: ;) :Pinkbounc

Here are our favorites...no particular order

Breakfast: we aren't big breakfast eaters, although I do look forward to 1900 Park Faire at GF... it is convenient to MK, so you could leave MK on an early entry day (yes, they are back as of Oct 1st) and eat there... just catch the boat launch.

MK: we have a few fast food spots we like, and they are Cosmic Ray's and Columbia House. I have heard that LTT is good for lunch, but we didn't like their dinner.

Epcot: Le Cellier is fantastic!
San Angel Inn is a nice spot for lunch... nice and cool during the middle of the day
Matsu NoMa lounge in Japan are great! Quiet and romantic... nice spot in the evening overlooking the lake and Epcot all in lights.

MGM: We like the character lunch at Hollywood and Vine. It is fun even without kids. Can get a bit loud, though! The food and selection on the buffet is great!
Primetime 50's Cafe! Love the food, love the atmosphere, love the service... you do need to not mind being picked on, (elbows off the table, eat all of your veggies, no hats at the table, etc!) afterall, you are eating in Mom's kitchen!

Animal Kingdom: Doesn't have a full service restaurant, but we have enjoyed meals from both Tusker House and Flametree BBQ. Flametree is only open at peak times and summers... it only has outdoor seating.

Resorts:
Cape May Cafe: Beach Club... great buffet, with a nice variety for both seafood lovers and landlubbers! We have never had a bad meal here in 10 times!
Narcoosee's: great dinner for 2. Great ambience, wonderful food, fantastic service. Love to sit there watching the castle change colors!
'Ohana: lots of fun, lots of food, and great tropical drinks!

Happy Eating:)
