Sailing on the Disney Wish this October and *just* tacked on an extra day to go to Mickey’s-Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The dining reservation window opens tomorrow, so trying to make a quick decision on where we should eat during the mix-in period. Looking for a place within Magic Kingdom that will get us out the door fast (within an hour or so) that also offers good gluten-free options. Alternatively, if you strongly believe we should eat prior to the mix-in period – open to that feedback as well.

We’re staying at the Grand Floridian, if that has any bearing. Thanks!

We are doing MNSS and made an earlier reservation at Skipper Canteen. We have annual pass so can go in early. Food is good and relatively quick plus we’re just doing appetizers as my wife has a food allergy that the snack places can’t accommodate so we are eating a quick bite there to get her fed. We are also at the Grand and she will get something at Gasparillas as well earlier. However if going in before mix in time is not an option I would say grab a quick bite at Grand Floridan Cafe or even Gasparillas has some decent food. I would spend all my time enjoying the park rather than sitting in a restaurant can knock out a few less popular attractions during the mix in time if attractions are your thing. Lots of good snacks and treats at the party so I don’t have a full meal. This is just my opinion

I don't know if its still the case as it was back in 2019, when we last went to MNSSHP, but party experiences started long before the actual party officially began. We checked in at 4 (we spent the day in MK), got on line and met Moana, shopped for merch on MSUSA, got party only Magic Shots on MSUSA, walked the path behind MSUSA and were one of the first on line to meet Lotso who came out when the party began at 7. See what the reports say as the parties happen and who or what, if anything, starts early.

With that being said, I'd book the last lunch time at GFC which is sometime around 1:45-2. I wouldn't waste any time in the park on a TS meal just in case things start earlier. If you get hungry later on, there will be QS and snack carts and stuff open, some with party only options.

We have APS so will either eat a late lunch at Epcot or at Skipper Canteen, like the person above. That will let us try a few snacks at the party.

I think we're going to opt for Skipper Canteen. I snagged a reservation late into the mix-in period, so hopefully we can sneak in a less popular attraction or two prior. Also managed to get a reservation for Cinderella's Castle - which will be open during the party - but our focus is rides and party activities, so thinking of dropping it.

MK has the worst food of any park IMO, so I'd definitely book a late lunch at your resort and then snack through the party, OR stop at a QS location which I trust more than their TS!

We have probably done every option out there both in meals and day plans before parties. I think one of our BEST ones was the last lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe. Take our time. Then we took our time going over to MK so we were there to enter at 4 pm. Later on we got a event snacks to carry us through the night. It was one of our most relaxing options that filled our bellies later in the day.

Skippers Canteen is a nice choice. Dumps you right into the action after and will give you a respite from the worst of the crowds since it will be party only when you emerge. Also it’s near Tiki Room which is one of things closed during the party making it easy to do before dinner.
