Restaurant Question

Hi, we are heading down to the world at the end of May and trying to get last minute ADR's completed, we have ADR's for everyday we are there, and after reading some of latest for each place have started to rethink some choices. We are also on DDP if that is a bit of a help.

DHS- Mama Melrose or 50's primetime?

Epcot Teppan Edo or Marakesh?

We thought 50's Prime Time was fun, but it felt a little crowded, and we had a long wait for our table. The pot roast is good, and they have a huge yummy desert - brownie with ice cream whip cream, smarties, etc. Soooo good, but I ate the whole thing and my stomach hurt after! This year we decided to choose a restaurant on the Boardwalk instead of inside MGM - easy to walk to, and better choices.

I've never been to Teppan Edo, but I've eaten at a similar Japanese restaurant, and enjoyed watching them cook the food right at the table. If you have an entertaining chef it makes the meal really fun.

My Dfamily would choose:

DHS-50's Prime Time - We just love the interaction with the cms. We go out of our way to "get in trouble". The food is solid, homestyle food.

Epcot-Teppan Edo - We love watching the chef cooking and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious!

Anything but 50's!!! Even McDonald's fries!! or a banana from the fruit stand!!! That was the worst place we have eaten... ever!!! And if you do choose to go there, don't try the root vegetable hash. Not sure what that is, but I got it thinking potatoes, etc. What I think I got was pine tree roots, oak tree roots, and maple tree roots!!!

YUK!!! Not one of us had a decent meal there.

Our family would choose the same thing, we love 50's Prime Time. I would say it's the best 1 TS meal in DS especially in you like comfort food (meatloaf is awesome). Kids love all the "antics" of the servers!

Teppan Edo is also alot of fun too, and we really like the food!

These are 2 ARD’s we always try to fit in.

50's Prime Time is probably my family's favorite restaurant on Disney property!
A lot of fun and great food!

50s in MGM, hands down!
Marakesh in Epcot (Teppan Edo is just too similar to japanese restaurants I could eat at at home, IMO, but would also be a good choice)

I can only comment on Mama Melrose and 50's Primetime. We have not eaten at the other two.

In this case, Mama Melrose hands down. The food is much, much better for us. I found the food in 50's Primetime a little blah.
