Restaurant Marrakesh and nut allergies

DD has nut allergies and I know that the restaurants are pretty good with dealing with allergies, but I'm curious if anyone with nut allergies has eaten at Marrakesh.

The reason I ask is that our children have chosen our Table Service restaurants for our short trip in May, but there is one meal left to schedule, and I'd like to have them try something not only new for this trip, but also a little out of their comfort zone. (We are so tired of chicken strips and pizza.) DW and I love middle eastern food, and the menu looks fairly tame so there are things that the kids could try. However, a lot of the meals are made with nuts. I wonder if the restaurant can even handle those with nut allergies, and if they can, if anyone with a nut allergy or a child with a nut allergy can tell me whether it was still worth going there.

You might get more answers on the DISabilities board. We've never done Marakesh, so I can't say for sure. Every restaurant we've been to on property has doen a great job with our DS's allergies. We've done Le Cellier and Teppen Edo at Epcot without problems. You could also try calling special diets or the restaurant and see what they have to say. --Katie

We've eaten at Marrakesh on both of our last trips. It's one of my favs & has the best bread ever! That said, our 10 yr old has nut allergies & he did fine. The chef came out, showed him what he could get on the menu or he could make something for him. He ordered something from the menu, the chicken kebabs & loved them. No issues what so ever. Just make sure you note the allergy on your ressie & tell the host/hostess who seats you.
