Restaurant Main St. open/closed beginning of May?

Hi,

I haven't kept track well enough. (Another post I explained what's been going on.) Anyhow it's been 4 years since our last trip - which was DL.

So I know how to do Blue Bayou. Have a few others in mind.

But I am confused about the cafe/restaurant on Main St. The one where you could make reservations and eat breakfast or lunch outside under the umbrellas, I read that it is being re-done. It it ready yet? If not, when will it open? We liked eating there. Can't remember the name of it. Was that Carnation Cafe?

We really like sit down restaurants but don't want to do any character meals.

Yes, that's Carnation Cafe, I think it's supposed to reopen around June but I don't know for sure. With no trip planned I don't check.

If you like sit down places you'd probably like Cafe Orleans too, they have good food, similar to BB but still different. The Ratatouille there is great!! there are also the hotel restaurants, Storyteller's is very good.

Thanks. I just looked it up on the disneyland site. Says closed until summer 2012. Sigh. It looks like we will miss Carnation Cafe.

We do like the others you mentioned a lot and will eat at them.

MousePlanet's update this week lists Carnation Cafe closed until June 2, Blue Ribbon Bakery until July.
