All the Al Lutz talk has got me thinking about things I use to think about when I was a young kid and would dream of being an imagineer. I remember thinking that Blue Bayou was such genius because at the end of the ride, I always wanted to eat there ;)

So it got me thinking what other rides could benefit from restaurants being built directly into them?

I'll start.... I think TOT would do well with a great hotel lounge in it

What do you think would be a great ride/dining combination?

I think that would be awesome! :thumbsup2

Hmmm...Splash Mountain would be kind of cool with a BBQ-type restaurant inside.

I also think a restaurant on the MT would be cool. It could slowly cruise around while you eat. Guess I like the restaurant/water ride combo. ;)

Oh my goodness!!!! I love both of those ideas!

Definitely a restaurant behind the Soarin screen.

Indiana Jones would be an awesome place for an Indian restaurant w/ an Indy theme decor.

I think I'd like them to bring back the Aladin feast. I like the idea of Mediterranean food!

Eewww! Indian food in a theme park.. Gross

I've always thought they should build a hotel room/suite (kinda like the Dream Suite above Pirates) in ToT and sell it off for a lot of $$$. Could you imagine actually staying in the Hollywood Tower Hotel? They could have all of these ghost noises and creepy details/special effects. :scared1:

As for restaurants, I think it'd be really neat (although there's no space for it) to have an underwater restaurant over by Nemo. Similar to the Coral Reef at Epcot, except you watch the Subs go by and made up of almost entirely glass walls. It could fit in with Tomorrowland too---futuristic underwater dining! :rotfl:

Oh I think the Indian food Restaurant would be a great idea. We have a new Indian Restauant in our town. The food is so very good. The Tandori Chicken is so yummy. There is a dish I can not pronounce or for that matter spell so am going to use KID spell -- LOL sound it out please. It is called Machiani Chicken -- oh my gosh this is a to die for dish. Nan cooke on the tandori is the best. I have been known to even just stop in and order a dise of the nan and warm and eat with butter. Dang making myself hungry -- but my vote would be for Indiana jones restaurant.

The curry smell would waft over the jungle cruise and ruin the iconic Disney water smell. That already happens sometimes from Bengal. I couldn't imagine tandori and curry waft...

What about the Star Wars Cantina inside of the Star Tours ride? They could serve "bar food" like burgers, fries, and nachos. Of course they would need to include the cantina band to play music

My DS10 said he would want a Splash Mountain restaurant that served southern food. Yummy!! fried pork chops, greens, okra!! Sounds good to me, as long as they have banana pudding with the vanilla wafers in it.

A replica of the dining room in Haunted Mansion would be good.

IASW with a smorgasboard of different types of food from all over the world.
Jungle Cruise! You could totally be part of the Skippers' spiel. :rotfl:

What if they did Mos Eisely Cantina near Star Tours? I'd love that!

I think it is a really good idea except for the rare exception when BB has to close because of major construction on POTC.

It seems though that Disney thinks it's a bad idea. They built BB + POTC over 40 years ago and replicated it at Disneyland Paris in thier POTC in a much bigger way. Then they didn't do it again and again. They had the chance to do something similiar in so many new parks that came after DL and didn't.

At least at some dining location you can see rides, like Rancho Del Zocala or Carnation Cafe but nothing quite as integrated as BB and POTC.

They have a similar concept with the San Angel Inn right next to the boat ride in Epcot's Mexico Pavilion. It works really nice there.

Hi all, first time posting here... anyway, something akin to the Rainforest Cafe incorporated into the Jungle Cruise would be pretty neat.
