:rolleyes1 Anyone know of a good sit down restaurant in Disney or Universal for fussy eaters with a 7 year old? Preferably not too expensive, we want to look at options for 4th July next year so we need to find out more before we book a meal with an ADR as we know it will be very busy wherever we go that day. :listen: Have guessed the counter services already will be running at max and have queues out the doors.

What about Rainforest Cafe at either DTD or AK? Our son is also quite a fussy eater, and usually finds something other than burger there.

The Rose and Crown is quite nice, my children love to eat there (2 and 8). The childrens meals are cottage pie, fish n chips, chicken, bangers and mash and i am sure they had a few more; i think we paid about $6 for a childs meal so not bad for Disney.

There are lots of well-themed restaurants at Citywalk. We like Mythos in IOA, the restaurant is beautiful inside and the menu is very good. When we went on July 4th we spent the day in the MK and dined at LTT. The food is served family style and is rather plain but very good. Another added advantage is that it is a character meal but only in the evening. Lunch you chose from a menu.

Hope this helps.

I also agree with foxylady that the Rainforest cafe has a lovely selection of food - pizza, pasta, chicken, burgers for about $6 each.
Whispering Canyon Cafe has a nice selection about the same price. The Grand Floridian has a lovely meal for the kids; my little boy aged 6 at the time had what they call a Triple Header - one each mini hamburger, mini hot dog and mac'n cheese for about $5/6!

My two have autism and are very fussy eaters. we usually pick the buffet resturants as there is always something there they will eat and they often try something new when they are there.

rainforest dosent do adr`s you have to turn up and hope for the best

:goodvibes Liberty tree is a possible choice we went there a couple of years ago for lunch and had the most amazing burger patties there, with friendly CMs and cool setting we really enjoyed it :goodvibes just worried about how busy MK will be :crowded: . Would hate to get stuck in the crowds and miss our slot :bitelip: It may be worth looking at Epcot or elsewhere I noticed the Garden Grill has changed it's menu back again and we really loved the whole menu/atmosphere/CMs combo there when we were rehitched in 04 ;)

I always hear good things about the Plaza Restaurant on MS, if you're looking for a good value option. A not very pricey sit down restaurant, you'd be looking at burger-type food (and delicious sundaes!).

You can view all WDW menus on this site. :)

We loved the Plaza Restaurant. We went not expecting much but had a very nice (but simple) meal in very pleasant surroundings and wonderful service :)

Another vote for the Plaza. If you go, you must try either the Apple Pie a la mode or the banana split - yum, yum :thumbsup2

Anyone been to Wilderness Lodge's Whispering Canyon Cafe lately?? Menu seems good just wondering about the atmosphere and CMs etc.
