Restaurant choice/ADR schedule thoughts?

Hi all! I'm trying to narrow down our meals because we are approaching our ADR date soon. I've never been to Disney. It's me, husband and 5 year old daughter.

Any thoughts on this restaurant plan? What ADRs will be hardest to get? Anything you would avoid/recommend?

Saturday (arrival) dinner at resort QS
Sunday- Columbia Harbor House lunch, Chef Mickey's dinner
Monday- Tucker House ROL lunch, QS lunch (yak and yeti, harambe, flame tree possibly)
Tuesday- 50's prime time lunch, will probably park hop or pool so not sure about QS dinner
Wednesday- Cantina San Angel QS lunch, Akershus dinner
Thursday- Be Our Guest breakfast or lunch, OHana dinner
Friday- MK QS lunch, 1900 Park Faire
Saturday- departure day- Trattoria Al Forno Bon Voyage late Breakfast

The Bon Voyage breakfast will likely be your most difficult, with 'Ohana and BOG close behind (dinner is definitely harder at BOG, but all meals tend to go quickly).

Out of what you have listed, we've only eaten at Columbia Harbour House, Cantina de San Angel, and Be Our Guest so far (though we do have some of your proposed ADRs for our trip next month). We've enjoyed all of them. We haven't eaten anywhere at AK yet, so I can't really recommend anything there, but we like Cosmic Ray's at MK too; the food isn't anything special, but it's tasty, and the portions are decent. Plus, when we ate there in September, the cast members were awesome. I was carrying the food for the four of us and stopped to get ketchup, and I knocked over one of the trays -- the one with my meal, of course -- on accident. I dropped down to start picking up fries, and a cast member rushed over and told me to stop, asked me what I had, and immediately went to place a new order for me before coming over to sweep up the mess. I was pretty flustered, but she made the situation SO much better.

For the days you have a sit-down dinner I would do a sit-down breakfast instead of lunch. In my opinion it's too much food too close together.

You might want to read reviews of Chef Mickey's - the food, service and cleanliness have all gotten pretty critical reviews. Also 1900 Park Faire just got zinged - it has been years since we have eaten there but here is there is a good review of character meals on You Tube called Disney World's
Best and Worst Character Meals:)

We like Columbia Harbor House. BOG is great for breakfast and lunch, but as another pp said, if you have a sit down dinner that night, do breakfast. Your plan looks good in that you only have 1 sit down meal per day.

Chef Mickey is a personal choice. My kids loved it and begged to go on our last trip in 2015. The characters were great but the the food was meh. We went on a free dining bounce back trip, so the price didn't factor into our decision. We chose Tusker House this summer since we prefer the food. However, if If you have the dining plan, why not? It's worth going once if your daughter is into the characters. You get the Fab 5 characters in one place-Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Minnie.

@wdwthanksgiving Zinged? Is that good or bad

I'm not super happy with Chef Mickey's making the list, but my daughter saw pictures in the Disney brochure of Mickey in the Chef outfit and that is all she talks about doing is going to the restaurant where Mickey is the chef. Sooooo, I guess I'll suck it up and go. I'm super picky about food cleanliness after a case of food poisioning years ago, so I'm already planning on just snacking before. I realize I'll still have to pay for mine, but we got free dining so I'll let it go. It'll be too bad if CM is all booked up that day

I've not heard bad things about 1900 though! Off to google.

Also, is it the same characters at Tusker and CM?

We did dinner at 1900 Park Fare in October 2015. It thought the food was good and enjoyed the character interaction as well.

Zinged = not good:)....must be a southern expression!

Saturday (arrival) dinner at resort QS
Sunday- Columbia Harbor House lunch, Chef Mickey's dinner I'd change these around...CM for breakfast (which is the only meal we eat there) and CHH for dinner in the MK
Monday- Tucker House ROL lunch, QS lunch (yak and yeti, harambe, flame tree possibly) All good but try for a Tuskerhouse late breakfast and then you can get the change over and get lunch too!
Tuesday- 50's prime time lunch, will probably park hop or pool so not sure about QS dinner
Wednesday- Cantina San Angel QS lunch, Akershus dinner Akershus is ok for dinner but there are SOO many other, better places food-wise in the World Showcase that if we can't do breakfast there, we don't go.
Thursday- Be Our Guest breakfast or lunch, OHana dinner We're not fans of Ohana...food is mediocre and the service the same...plus unless you have a very early ADR, you can count on waiting around an hour after your ADR time with very little seating to wait in.
Friday- MK QS lunch, 1900 Park Faire I understand the allure of the characters at dinner but we dislike the food at 1900 Pare Fare...we always do breakfast here.
Saturday- departure day- Trattoria Al Forno Bon Voyage late Breakfast

Yes, you will see the same characters at Tuskerhouse as Chef Mickey's for the most part (unless someone is off rotation that day) just in different dress.
