I have never requested a ressie by email before, but I guess it can't be too hard... Right?
My question is, when does MS actually look at your email and book your request?
In other words, I'm trying to plan for the on slaught of AKV bookings the morning of the 16th. I thought just maybe if I send an email the night before, or early that morning, I might be one of the first in line.
I'm sure that's only wishfull thinking on my part. I'm sure that would be too easy if it worked that way. But how does it work?

Thanx!.. :smokin:

nah - too easy.

they will make your reservation within a day or two, but from what i've heard, you're not typically in the front of the line. there's also the risk that they may not understand your instructions and they will wait and email you back to clarify what you are requesting.

i made my first ressie by email - there wasn't too much risk of OKW booking up when i'm traveling - but i wouldn't do it if i were (for example) trying to compete for the first available AKV rooms.

I made my first ever ressie by email and it was quite frustrating. They took two days to read my request - respond with availability - I wrote back ___, two days later they would reply - sorry - that is no longer available, how about___ and the whole process would start over.

It is very simple to make a phone reservation, and I have found the CMs to be very friendly and helpful. You may have to choose between several options and it is just easier to talk directly and get things taken care of.

I've done it a few times when speed wasn't of the essence. I think they promise to respond within 48 hours, but you have no guarantee of when they will actually read your email and book the room. Could be 1 hour, could be 48 hours.

Maybe you could do both. Send the email and make the call? And hope you don't end up with 2 reservations.

Good luck!
