Barb, It's not really as bad as it sounds (honest ). Being one of the first in line at the port -- I found that I easily had time to enjoy the embarkation buffet at Parrot Cay -- then I headed over to Palo to make ressie's there. We didn't do anything at the spa - but I would have had hubby head in that direction while I would have been at Palo. You can register in the kids clubs at your convenience -- as there is room for everyone. You will have all of this done by the time your room is ready to check out -- then go off and enjoy the ship a little before the safety drill.
I wouldn't worry about the dining rotation --- really --- they are all fine. As for the table for three --- you may have a hard time getting this if the ship is full. Same goes in changing the dining rotation-- if the ship is full this will be hard to do -- unless someone with the rotation you want asks to be changed to your rotation. I hope it works out for you! Our first two trips we requested and received a table for 4 -- and really enjoyed the family time at dinner. The third trip -- we linked our dining ressie' with another DIS Family so we were sure to be pared up with a compatible family. We had 5 in our group plus their family of 4. Our kids were around the same age -- and we've become friends for life!
Also, I had made up plans for each of the three rotations ahead of time, so that when we checked in and got our KTTW cards with the letters on it, I knew which nights to book for Palo's, spa, etc.
