Ressie Confirmation Panic!

Maybe someone can reassure me while I panic over the weekend??? I just made our first DVC reservation for Dec 30-Jan 3,2002, calling in day-by-day. Yesterday (Friday), I got a confirmation letter, listing only one day in the middle of the reservation. Is this a usual DVC screw-up, a confirmation for only one day of a 5 day vacation, or does it mean that the other 4 days got lost and aren't reserved at all? I'll call on Monday, but it would be nice not to have to ruminate about it all weekend, especially since I've already made my travel reservations out of this frozen tundra.

When you said calling in day by day do you mean that you called and obtained each day separately when they became available. if this is the case maybe MS didn't link all your resssies together hence the confirmation for just one day.

If you got a verbal confirmation, I wouldn't be too concerned. It's likely they just didn't like everything yet and you will get several like this. I would call though to get it straightened out. Unless it's for a GV, it likely doesn't make any difference anyway.

Happened to me last month. Did the same thing, calling in day by day to assure a standard view. Confirmation came for only two of the eight days. I called MS, the reservation was confirmed for the full time and they sent me out a new confirmation slip. No problem, happens, occasionally.

Just make sure that you copied down the confirmation $'s on a piece of scrape paper. AND don't loose them until you get all the paperwork back from MS.

When you book day by day you should tell the MS representative and they will normally ask you when you expect to return home, that way they will hold off sending out confirmation until you have made the last day ressie. I do this all the time and have never has a wrong confirmation sent in the mail. The last day I call I tell them this is my last day, they have everything linked and they send out the confirmation.

I made day by dat ressies for Dec. 29 - Jan. 2 2002. I was told to make sure I said it was a continuing reesie as I called day by day. I received 1 confirmation for all the days. We went at the same time in 1999/2000. At that time I received a seperate confirmation for each day because I didn't state they were continuing. I'm sure it will be O.K. Just a paper mix up.
