Ok...This is more of ramble than anything.

I have to give the falling chair game leaders big respect. This is a very difficult task and the rudness of people show here.

I decided to create a fallen chair game called "Falling Chairs by the beach."

I wanted to create a fun place, as many others do, but saw how rude peeple can be. I don't mind the not paying part to conintue, but here is what gets me..

1) Let me in...Open up!!!! Why in the middle of game would you open a game that has started...It is unfair to others who have been playing for awhile, because it can be a very long game.

2) The room owner makes the rules...1 pay per player 2 pay whatever, but they kept trying to help me how to run the game.

3) Saying rude things like" This sucks...It takes to long...Telling others they are ugly or whatever...

4) Not leaving when they choose to or not paying and just dancing in the middle of the room.

5) And not being happy with the freaking prizes..I gave furniture and a pin...Not magic oins and ones you can buy and not so expensive furniture...

So....for those rude players I just booted them...Was I wrong to do that...

I want to continue the room, but I want to get thoughts on how I was botting rude people out...

The prizes was not a big deal...people seemed to be happy...But I did get a That's It? But she played again...

Thought and Ideas are welcome......

Just wondering if I should keep the "Falling Chairs by the beach" going......

I have been playing Falling Chairs quite a bit with my daughter. She is 4 and loves it.

Anyone rude should be booted. The ones that complain while waiting in line don't need to be there at all. I was in one room tonight and one girl just kept saying things like hurry up, this is stupid and let me in. If it was me I would have booted her.

I also think that you need to state the rules at the beginning like if you lost you have X number of chances to pay etc. Treat everyone fairly and say what the prize is at the beginning and if they don't like it they can leave. If you let one person pay over and over it isn't fair not to let everyone so a set number of times seems fair. The rest of the group can help you keep track. They all remember who they have beat :cool1: and how many times.

Anyone disrupting the game by using their Cursed Storm or things like that should be booted also. People that don't stay in the carpet give them a warning and the net time boot them. I was in one room that people kept using their magic and it took a while for the game to get going. Those types of thinds are fun but they were distupting.

How I look at it is NO ONE has to do a room and if they choose to we should respect them and play nicely. No insults no distuptions. Who says that someone has to offer a prize that knocks someone socks off. Say in your description what type of things you offer and then they don't have to even enter if they don't like it. I passed on a few rooms that didn't seem organized or I didn't like.

That is how I view it.

Thanks for offering a game, it seems to be a thankless job!

I agree with LisaInNC. Nothing wrong with booting rude people. I can't count the number of game rooms I have gone to that are practically out and out fights. I know I am out of the norm, to say that I prefer games that have no prizes. But the rude ones don't show up, only the ones that really enjoy a game. Have seen a couple of those rooms, and true, there are not many players, but they are nice people enjoying a fun game.

Kudos to you for making a fun game room, and boots to the rude ones!

OMG that 'open up', 'let me in' drives me crazy too.
And the arguing about cutting in the line, are we in kindergarten??
Some people just don't realize not everyone is on a fast computer!

Tonight, I couldn't move in a que line, not sure why, then people started tromping over the top of me and I got trapped. When I finally did move someone screamed I had cut. Geesh 5 people walked over me and I didn't scream fowl! (Ok that is off my chest now thank you!)

I usually pay once if I lose figuring it helps restock the prize pool, but if I lose a 2nd time I just go. I think paying once is nice to help out, but others scream it makes the game go slow! why should the owner have to pay for ALL the prizes? And if you are in that big of a hurry, why are you on VMK? :confused3

I have tried to start a game room and I really want to, but the rude people scare me.

BTW Lisa, I'm near Raleigh, are we near each other?

I used to do that before I lost all of my patients and all of my stuff. People used to be very rude. "let me in", "this game stinks" "i am leaving." People would also fight in my room threatening to report each other. I would boot them because the were rude and the didn't listen to me. (they would always come back after ban had lifted). I would always be fair I gave a lot of warnings before I would boot people. This was a fun Idea but people can be so rude and annoying. A lot like some real people!

Thanks for all the great thoughts....I am going to try it again and take all the suggestions you have here and run with it.

I know I may make some enemies from booting them, but hey....I would rather the rude people go to another game room.

I know it is difficult to try and control the situations that can happen, and also being an on-line game plus having difficulties trying to type things...I figure they willl get the point once they get booted....

So stop by and say hi and try the game out...I try to make it fast pace up until the last two so I can place the chair in a fair place....Or if you want to chill by the beach....

Thanks again for the comments!!!

Out of curiosity, as someone who has watched a little but never played version of Falling Furni...

If you are running this game, how do you try to place the chairs randomly and without bias?

I try to place the chairs as fast as I can without looking who is where and when 2 are left, I wait and try to get them to stand in the middle so that it is a fair drop....

When I started on VMK I loved playing the games but some guests take up so much time that the games became very long. Since I play at work most days I can't sit around waiting for everyone to chat or ask directions etc over and over again so I quit playing. I did enjoy playing though. I will come check yours out since you seem to be very organized and I miss playing.
