AKL was
great for my daughters (aged 6 & 9). There were sheets in the room with pictures and descriptions of the animals, and check boxes so they could "tick off" animals they saw. My 9 year old absolutely loved sitting on the balcony and doing this, but she also loved wandering around the public savannah viewing areas to find the last few "elusive" animals on her sheet.
There was an african music and dancing session while we were waiting to eat at Boma. The girls got to dance and play instruments and they loved this a lot.
There is a storytelling session nightly at Arusha Rock but unfortunately we ran out of time for this, but I hear excellent reports.
There were organized games at the swimming pool at certain times - noodle races etc. There is a slide too which was quite tame but enjoyable. The pool itself is good fun with the zero entry.
There is a playground but again we never made it there!
The kids club "Simba's Cubhouse" was a huge hit with my DDs when they spent a few hours there one night. It was a huge hit for me and DH too as we got to enjoy a romantic meal in Jiko alone
There are lots of interesting artifacts and displays throughout the resort which again my eldest DD liked reading about.
I am sure there is lots more to tell you but that should do for a start
We did also stay at CBR this year but as we only had one night I must admit I didn't really notice what extras there were to do there.
