Resort Travel times?

Hello,
So in planning our stay I'm having trouble with the resorts that I'm hoping you awesome experienced people can shine some light on.

What's the most affordable resort with the best travel times to the parks?

I can find park distances from the different resorts but I know some resorts share buses which increases the time to the park.

There's just three adults going (girl trip wooo!) so we don't need a lot of space. Also we all are unfortunately under a bit of a budget so unless we find a super great deal boardwalk is out (although I'm keeping my ear to the ground for that one)

What are your recommendations? I find that each resort is awesome in it's own way and I know we'll enjoy it wherever we stay (although if it has to be a Budget then we're definitely going for AOA) so I'm looking into which resorts will get us the most park time without breaking the bank.

To be honest, what's your budget? What parks are your priority?

Even among parks with "best travel times" they tend to be to specific parks -- for instance, Contemporary walks to Magic Kingdom. Monorail to Epcot is a bit slow because of the transfer. The bus to HS and AK is shared with Poly and GF, so there's that piece.

Among the mods, the best overall transport is at Coronado. At the Values, Pop and AoA are generally favored for their single bus stops and no bus sharing.

There is no resort that will be great to all the parks and you can have long waits at any of the resorts monorail/boats or buses. Other than POLY/GF/CR to MK or the EPCOT resorts to EPCOT and DS, the rest will be within 10-15 minutes of each other so to me I would not even take that into consideration, I would just decide on what resort I like and stay there. If you cannot swing a Deluxe, then for Mods I would say POFQ and then CSR, value I would go with AOA or POP.

I agree with Buzznina. There is no single resort with the shortest transit times to all of the parks. If I was you I'd take it out of the equation and concentrate on getting the most resort for your budget.

AoA or Pop are OK as values go, and only have a single bus stop ( and don't share buses with other resorts. But you would need to get a family suite if you didn't want to share a double bed with one of your girl friends.

POFQ is a centrally located mod with only one bus stop. It only occasionally shares buses with POR - usually in the middle of the day. It's cheaper than a family suite, and it has Queen beds, making sharing a bed a bit easier.

What about the Swan? Check to see if you qualify for a discount - the rates can be pretty good there and you have 2 queen beds. It might be a more affordable alternative to the BWI.

It has a walkway to both Epcot and DHS. Only shares a bus to MK with the Dolphin and is the first stop. Not a far ride to AK.

I would think that it might work for you. Don't forget to add in the resort fee and parking fee if you have a car. Also, no Magical express to/from the airport.

OR, if a moderate/ Disney owned is what you are looking for:
If its a girls only/adult trip, we like CSR business class. Great resort, good location and breakfast as well as some beverages and snacks are included.

Good luck!
