Hi eveybody:wave2: ,

I have a question about resort hopping.

We are staying at POFQ Sept 9th-15th. It will be me, dw, ds10, and dd4.

We have decided to stay an extra day just to enjoy the resort. We dont have any park plans but to go see spectromagic.

We get a great discount for room only.

The discount is not available for POFQ for the date we need, but they do have Saratoga(140 bucks) and Coronado(80 bucks) for the night.

What resort would you chose? How easy would this switch be?

I am afraid if we go to Saratoga we might get spoiled and wish we stayed there the whole trip. Since the extra day will be totally oop the 80 dollars sure is appealling, could use the other 60 dollars for dinner or boat rental.

We do plan on another trip in the future so we can experience the deluxe resorts next time.

Disney will transfer your bags for you. I've stayed at Saratoga, but not Coronado. For one night, I'd choose Coronado because it's cheaper and the pool there looks great. If you're curious at all about the DVC then the SSR would answer a lot of questions for you. We own DVC there and we like it. It has a community hall with activities which are very nice, but for one day, I might save the money.

Agree completely with mnasf. If you are interested to see a DVC property, it's a good opportunity ( you did not say what size room - studio or one bedroom? You would certainly feel spoiled in the one bedroom but not in the studio.)

Coronado is a great moderate and $60 left over will buy a nice meal. The main pool at both are great, and in fact, very similar in size and features.

I will note one thing - the main pool at SS is a little more kid friendly, with a kiddie slide, a splash play area, and a zero-entry (gradual slope) area. Be aware that both CS and SS are spread out. It can be a bit of a walk to the pool at CS, and you may need to hop on one of the buses at SS to get to the main pool.

Food is a consideration if you want to eat there. CS has a large food court with a lot of choices but much of it is southwest/south of the border themed. SS has a counter service area with less fresh prepared selection (but good), and a limited selection of prepackaged and grocery items. Downtown Disney is a short bus ride from SS for more food options.
