Resort special requests

How soon should i call to request a crib, refrigerator from PO - French Quarter, i was thinking of calling now, but i arrive on Feb 9 and i don't want to look like pest, when DH and I made the reservation we did put down that we will be bringing an infant so I don't know if i should leave it alone or call them.

Another question which does not seem clear in the books or websites, i don't know if anyone knows this for sure, but do the resort charge extra for the refrigerators, i saw a charge of $10 a day for them but i'm still confused.

And do they automatically give us the coffee maker and hair drier, cuz it does say by request on the WDW web site.

They are putting refrigs in all the moderate and deluxe resorts. If you get there and there isn't one in the room they will give you one for free.

You can call central reservations and make sure that your requests are noted in your reservation.

I just have being a pest, but i think being a new mom, i better learn how to request what i need and not feel badly about it.

I would definitely just call and ask, you won't be a pest. Also they can let you know if they have what you need available. In case they don't there is this great company called Kids in Safety Seats in Orlando that rents any and every baby/toddler item you may need. There is a delivery fee, but it will be waiting for you at your room when you arrive, VERY convenient!!!

We were in the POFQ in October '04 and there was not a fridge in the room..but you could get one at no charge IF you requested it when you were checking in. They are trying to get fridges in all the mod resorts. Also..our room did come with a hair dryer (mounted on the wall..so I'm sure all the rooms have them) and a cute little coffe maker with coffee..sugar..cream..cups and stirrers. We didn't use it..but it was there.
