We will be arriving around lunch time and I'm assuming our cabin at Ft. Wilderness won't yet be ready. Where should we go for lunch? Sit down, quick service, off property are all on the table. Actually off property might be best as we want to stop at a grocery store and stock up. Where do you like to go for lunch on an arrival day? We have O'Hana booked for dinner that night.

We usually go to Fuddrucker's for lunch on arrival day. DH loves it and the one near us closed several years ago. Then we pop into Goodings for a few groceries.

For cheap we usually do Earl of Sandwich but if you have a car you might try for Sanaa over at AKL. Disney Visa discount for lunch I think and a great resort to kick around. You'll have the rest of the trip to explore FWL.

If you have Ohana booked for dinner, I'd do a light lunch. Be careful booking a TS for lunch just incase something happens and you don't get there as early as planned. I'd suggest going with QS or off property since you'll be driving to get groceries anyway.

I assume you'll have a car but I'd stick with something on-property. Our trip last October we went to Disney Springs on arrival day and had dinner at Raglan Road and really enjoyed it. That might be a good lunch option as well. Any event, there are tons of places in Disney Springs to eat.

Flippers Pizza tends to be a favorite delivery to the resorts if people are hanging out by the resort pool or just wanting something non-Disney for a break. We love it. If my memory serves correctly, there is an actual Flippers shop right next to a grocery (down on 535, where Hotel Plaza Blvd "dead ends"), which would help you deal with both issues rather efficiently.

If you go just a very little bit further up the road, there is a cheaper grocery store, not sure which chain, maybe pricechoppers or something. You can google it. Better priced for stocking up and I'm talking maybe only 1/4 mile or so.

Thanks! We only grab a few drinks and snacks but I'll definitely keep it in mind next time we go.

You can come on over to Celebration. We have great spots for lunch (Town Tavern, D'antonios, Coumbia...) and a nice Publix to shop at on your way back to the Fort. It is straight out Disney down World Drive...8 miles door to door:)

I completely forgot about that Fuddruckers! My kids and I escaped there once during my mother-in-law's week if mandatory family fun!

ANIMAL KINGDOM! We've been meaning to eat at Mara, not only for the food, but because it's the middle name of the smiley little piggie you see in my profile picture!

Thank you all for your suggestions! An nice bucket of Public fried chicken might be nice too....
