Other than California Grill, what are some other recommendations for a pre-MVMCP dinner that would take us quickly to MK after eating? It would need to be a Resort Restaurant since we will not have a park pass for the day we are going to the party.

How about 1900 Park Fair (GF), Chef Mickey's (CR), or O'hana (Poly)? All are on the monorail. I would do CM's w/Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. just to help get into the festive mood before the party!! Have fun!:D

Last year we ate inside the park using just our MVMCP tickets. We had PS for CRT for 5:30. The turnstiles for MVMCP guests was open and they admitted us with no problem. So if you prefer to eat in the park, that should not be a problem. Also, any of the resorts on the monorail line should let you get back to the park easily - 'Ohanas at the Poly, Narcoossees at the Grand Floridian, Chef Mickeys (if you want a character dinner buffet) or the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contempory are some ideas for you.

My suggestion is to try something at the Poly. Get the earliest dinner PS available. We ate at Kona Cafe last year before MVMCP. We will by trying 'Ohana for the first time this year before MNSSHP!

I have read that people have found the monorail to the party to be incredibly crowded, but we did not find this to be the case last year when we went to the Christmas Party. I think an early PS may be the key.

I think you're right...timing might be the key!

This will be the first time for MVMCP for us. I am going to try for early PSs for CGrill, but just in case, I want a back-up plan or at least a plan #2 & #3. We really wanted to get to see other resorts this trip, even if it was just for a meal. All of the above are great suggestions. I'm going to take a look at the menus to get an idea now. Thanks so much! :)

We have eaten both our pre MNSSHP and MVMCP dinners at 'Ohana. It was great. We made the first PS for the evening, were seated right away, and were at the gate for both parties about 20 minutes before they let us in. We were pretty close to the front, too.

The food was great, DD loved the coconut races, and we could see the MK fireworks from the window. If possible, request a seat near the window, so you can see the MK!
