We will be in WDW on Dec. 8,9 and 10- a very busy time I've learned. I am debating a room at WL or one of the moderates, the price difference is $100 per night. We have two small children 4 & 2 and have stayed at WL before and loved it, the price seems high this time and we are considering a moderate. Any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

WL can't be beat in my book because you have other options for transportation besides the bus for example the boat to the MK. You also have more dining options and better service. I would recommend staying there.

Caribbean Beach is the moderate most people don't like. I love it! Those palm trees and pastel colors are so Florida-y! So that's my vote for a moderate.

...but I like WL a whole lot more. :flower:

The Christmas decorations in the WL are spectacular. I would go with the WL.

I love WL during christmas, but saving $100 a night is quite nice.
If you want a moderate I'd have to say POFQ or POR they are both my favorites, and last time we went POR was well decorated during christmas.

Personally, I'd go with POFQ or POR and spend the $100 a night difference on other parts of my trip (souviniers, food, etc). I'd love to stay at WL, but for the cost difference, I wasn't able to justify it for my mom/son trip next month.

We stayed at WL our first visit to WDW in Jan 2004...loved it! Thought we'd be disappointed in a moderate, but our second trip to WDW this month was longer, so we had to make some budget cuts and stayed at CSR. Loved it! To the point of not really being sure of what we will do next time...maybe a split? In any case, we would not be at all disappointed if we "had" to stay at a moderate again. We did go back to WL to WC for dinner...it was nice to visit, but it didn't rip my heart out like I thought it would.

BTW, our kids were 8 and 10 this trip, and loved CSR :goodvibes
