I just made a resrvation at CBR for January 10-13, 2003. They quoted me a price of $169.00/night + 11% tax, makig it like $189/night.Now I know that there will be discounts coming available, but does anyone have any idea about when they come out? Also, CBR is not my first choice, CS is. The CM that I spoke with said they had no availability at CS for my dates. Is that possible, so early on??? Or do they release more rooms at the different resorts as time goes on???

CS caters to conventions so they do completely book up for some weeks. That is why many times that resort is unavailable for discount codes. I tired in January this year and was told that it was booked for a convention and if I wanted that resort I could call back to see if any rooms had become available - no thanks didn't want to stay if there was a convention there. Went to POR Riverside instead and it was nice.

Disney Doll:

If you don't mind me saying so, you got a rotten price. $169 a night, is that for just one room?

The discounts should come out around June or July, or at least that is when I got last year's Christmas time discounts. But it also would not hurt to frequently try calling to see if there are any available now; and while you are on the phone inquire about the availability of CS. Also try for an AP rate because only one person in the party needs to have the pass, and it may turn out you save more on the room than you spend on the pass.

I know $169 is a lousy rate!!!! I couldn't believe it when they told me, but I wanted to book something just to make sure I had something...wost case scenario, if you know what I mean? I was hoping someone had some "inside scoop" . I guess my best bet is to keep calling and checking periodically. Maybe I'll wait till more into the summer.

When we went in january 2002, I kept finding discount codes to stay at AKL, til I got the room there for $169/night. I think I found them closer tot he trip though...not so many months out.

169.00 is a 2002 "Regular" season, Water View or King Bed, Rack rate for moderates. No matter what season you book for 2003, you will be quoted a "Regular" season rack rate until the new rates come out, at that time they will adjust your rate. ~:)~
