Thinking of possibly taking an October 31 - November 4 trip.

October 31st and November 1st are considered Regular Season
November 2nd - December 19th are considered Value Season

Would I be paying 2 nights of Regular and 2 nights of Value?

I believe the rate you get for your entire stay is the rate that is in effect when you check in. This is always beneficial when you are going from value to regular or regular to peak. However, it doesn't work so well the other way around. My suggestion is to have 2 separate reservations. One for the 2 days at regular rates, and then the other one for the day the value rate goes into effect. Keep in mind that you may have to change your room since you have 2 separate reservations, and if you were planning on getting UHPs, this could throw a wrinkle into that as well, but maybe the front desk could work with that. If you're not planning on using UHPs than that's one less thing to worry about.

Wow, what a long stay! ;)

Your rate for the whole stay is governed by the rate in effect when you check in.

In you case, you can make two separate reservations - one for the regular season dates and one for the value season dates - to get around that. You will have to go to the front desk to "check-in" again (just to get new resort ID's/room keys). You shouldn't have to change rooms if you make them aware you have continuing reservations when you make the ressie, fax in your requests and/or check-in at arrival.

Thanks For Your Help Guys!

Awwwwwwwwwww Golden Oldie . . .don't even remind me . . .We usually take 7 nights/8 days . . . but DH didn't want to go back this year in the Summer and now that DD will be in 9th Grade and DS in 5th we decided that it was best they didn't miss out on school. They'll miss 10/31 only because 11/3 and 11/4 are no school days in my town because of Teacher Workshops and Election Day . . .So I figured a nice long weekend is better than none at all.. . .

When you make the reservations, ask that they be "linked", which should help you avoid having to switch rooms. Then keep reminding the resort --- fax a few days before, mention it when you check in.

When we went in November we checked in on a day that the rates changed. I had forgotten that was the day the rates changed. There was a very long line of people that were checking out and checking back in. I don't plan to arrive on that day again.
