Resort Pool vs. Blizzard Beach

We are leaving 2 wks from tomorrow and I'm trying to work out a schedule (much to dh dismay ). We have dd8, ds5 and dd3 and my question is will they be satisfied with POR pool or should we plan a day at BB? We had been planning on it but in trying to be budget consious I'm wondering if we could get away with just going to the pool . We have a couple of passes with plusses left so it would be a budget breaker just trying to cut corners where we can since we're going to be there 10 days.

I would think the 2 younger ones would probably be happy at the pool and would not need a water park. The older one may get tired of the same old thing, but that is one nice thing about POR, there are many pools for you. Not only is there the main pool and a couple of quiet pools, but you can use the pool at POFQ as well. This change of scenery may make everyone happy. One thing though, as you take the bus to AK, assuming you go there, they will see BB and may want to go there.

I was there last week and we never did the water parks. My kids are 13 and 8 and were happy enough with the pool at AKL. We met people who did the water parks and they complained about the long lines. By the time they finished the park for the day, they were too beat to do anything else.

We were there this past week for 4 days. One of the days we spent most of our time at the pool.

Chances are since you're going in August the lines for everything at BB are going to be really long so I think you'll be better off with the pool.

Stick with the pool! BB is tough to navigate with little ones and there may be some things that they aren't even tall enough to do. It is also exhausting!! The park involves lots of walking up lots of steps and it may just be too much for your family.

My general feeling...what the kids don't know they won't miss. Save BB for another time when the whole family can thoroughly enjoy it.

We were just at POR 2 weeks ago with 3 teens. We did not go to a water park and my teens were content. Your kids shouldn't even know the difference.

BB gets very crowded during the summer months. You have to be there very early in the morning to avoid long, hot lines.

Skip BB and enjoy the resort.
