We are traveling down next week for a short non-park trip (with the exception of MK AH). My son is bringing his trading pins and is hoping to trade a bunch at Disney Springs and resorts. (We're staying at SSR.) What are your favorite resorts for trading? Are there any good secret pins boards we should know about? We have ADRs at the Beach Club and will likely try the skyliner at some point to check out Riveria.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Don't assume the pin boards will be visible. Ask the cast member working the register at the gift shop to show you the pin board. If there is a concierge-type desk separate from the check-in desk, ask them also. If there is a cast member who is a greeter, ask them.

CBR has a massive board that’s often available in the lobby. It’s several feet by several feet. Found lots of good ones tht way and it’s on the Skyliner.

When we stayed at POR 3 years back, they had a pin board up in the gift shop all the time. Not sure if I’d go out of my way for it, but it’s worth noting. Most of the GF shops have pin books behind the registers. You have to ask to see them. Their hat shop has a hat with pins on it to trade which was fun. The CMs at GF were helpful and fun to trade with.

We recently stayed at AS Movies. I was surprised how big their pin board was. It is in the shape of a giant Oscar.

Another fun place to trade is Fort Wilderness campground. You have to ask. They have a big board hanging on a back wall they have to open for you. It is just a ferry ride away from MK!

Happy pin trading!

The have a big pin trading board at Wilderness Lodge that has a dedicated cast member there. They also sell pins there. :)

It is also a nice resort to tour. They have a hidden Mickey hunt, too, which is fun for kids. :)

The Beach Club doesn't have a dedicated pin board but the greeter has pins to trade. :) You have to ask to see their pins.

I just want you to manage your expectations if you're looking for "good" pins from any of these pin trading boards or books - you won't find many. My son started collecting pins on our last trip and we looked at every board and book we could find at the hotels and what they had was pretty lackluster so he never ended up trading any. He purchased quite a few and none of the ones he saw available to trade were as good as what he had bought. He did end up trading one pin with a CM at the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop because he specifically said he likes Stitch and that CM happened to have a Stitch pin for him to trade with. We also just came back from a Disney cruise and he looked at the books there but it was the same type of pins so he didn't trade any there either.
