Resort parking fee question with car onsite one of four nights

We will be onsite for 4 nights. DH is staying with me for one night, and then taking the car to go fishing with a friend who lives nearby, leaving me solo and picking me back up to drive home on check out day Wondering the best way to only be charged the night the car will actually be on property. Guessing talking to front desk when I arrive might be best, right?

Yes, just make sure they know you can check your charges online or stop by the Front Desk. We checked in with a rental, but made sure they knew it was being turned back and we wouldn't have a car. I expected a charge as before we checked in we went to DHS early so we could have a shot at ROTR (and got it). But no charges ever showed.
