Resort only stay-do I need a magic band?

The title says it all. I am headed to Disney for a quick 2 day get a way. No plans for the parks, but that may change. The plan is to stick close to the resort and Disney Springs.

Do I need to purchase a Magic Band?

No. Aside from charging back to the room, it would get little use.

You can use the app as a room key, but I believe you can also still request a room key card at the front desk. You could also use an old MB if you have one on your MDE profile from a previous trip.
