resort only stay. BLT/AKL. Are the fire pits/fireplaces operating/ Are community halls fully open, All the outlook points open?

We are thinking of doing a trip where we stay at the resorts mostly and the kids/ grandkids go into the parks. Then I started thinking what if nothing going on at the resorts. Are the resorts now just a place to sleep?

Our family trip in Dec 19, big thing was roasting marshmellows. Guess that's a no now???

Community Halls are open, activities may be limited.

You can walk all around the outlooks at AKL it’s very quiet but the animals are all out. The kidani outlook is also open and they did have a cast member out there at lunch time to answer any animal questions when we were there. I’m not sure if they lit the fire pits in the evening. They were doing activities at community hall and had Mickey tie dye shirts one day went we stayed at OKW. You could always ride the monorail from BLT and get dole whips at the poly and hang out on the “beach” there. We have done a lot of resort only trips since COVID and have had no problem filling our time around the WDW resorts.
