Resort Mug Refills at Water Parks!

I just read somewhere that you can refill your resort mugs at TL & BB for the cost of $5.00 per day. Has anyone ever done this? I never realized you could do that!

Is it the resort mug?? I thought you needed to buy a water park mug?? Then the $5. kept it filled all day.

Hi Tink - I thought the same thing at first, but the article clearly states that that you can bring your resort mug & purchase a sticker that lets you get unlimited refills that day for $5.00 per mug. They note that the other option is to purchase the BB or TL mug for $10.00 & get free refills in that mug all day (that's what I was familiar with). Additionally, they pointed out that if you bring the BB or TL mug back another day you could pay $5.00 to get unlimited refills that day (I wasn't aware of this either).

Anybody ever used their resort mug, not BB or TL mug, to do this?

I'll be on my way to the world one week from today, so if noone knows the answer, I'll find out & post when I get back .

I would be interested in finding out this "tidbit" of info, too, as we planned on purchasing resort mugs, as well as spending a day at BB. Not only is the $$ factor involved, but who wants to spend a hot, sticky Florida day carrying around a bunch of mugs??? (guess who gets to carry them?? )

I'd be interested in finding this out also......I'm staying at the HIFS and they have refillable mugs too. I'm wondering if this would work using their mugs?

We bought a BB mug since we went there frst. Thought it was a good deal for us at $10 for the day unlimited refills. Then when we went to TL I was tanding in line to buy THAT mug and watched the cashier putting a sticker on someone else's old BB mug. I had not brought the BB mug withme to TL not realizing that it could be reused. I asked the cashier and she told me that you can buy just the sticker for $5. She did not specifically say that it had to be a waterpark mug. I expressed my disappointment that BB had not told me that when I bought my mug and she said she heard that all the time.

Howdy all - Just back from a wet, but wonderful 10 days at the World & I have the info. regarding the resort mug sticker question. It's like Snow Brite said, you can buy a sticker for any Disney mug for $5 & get unlimited refills all day at either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. We did have to ask, as this information was not posted anywhere that I could see.

So, if your going to one of the water parks & you already have a mug, take it with you & you can save $5.00!

is this a water park 'mug' you are talking about or can we just use a 'resort mug'?

You can use any resort mug. We used our mug from the Polynesian. It doesn't have to be the water park mug, but if you already have one of those from a previous visit you could by the $5 sticker & use that too.

I am wondering if this will soon be the policy when bringing back "old" Disney mugs. That you can get a "sticker" at a reduced price over the cost of a new mug...
