Okay...originally we were thinking of staying at the Fort Wilderness cabins or at the AS suites because we were looking for a place with a little extra space. We are only a family of 4, but with a 14 month old we thought it would be nice to have a slightly separate space wherever we were staying.
Now I'm thinking otherwise and because I'm not a Disney expert I need your help! What resorts are walking distance to one or more of the parks, or a quick hop on the monorail.
I have been to Disney 2X in the past and stayed at AS Sports and Coronado Springs...so am not familiar with the close resorts.
My husband, 8 year old son, and 14 month old daughter will be going...we are planning on being there the 1st 9 days in June 2008. (My daughter will be 14 mos in June). Our past trips were several years ago, when our son was 4, and then again when he was 6.
Anyway a refridg is a must but our 8 year old has lots of stamina so in your opinion do you think we'd be fine in a standard size room? I'm picturing that either my husband or myself could take son to the pool mid-day while daughter is napping...or he would be fine reading or playing quietly for a few hours in the afternoon in the room when we all need a break from the mid day heat.
But...I was hoping for a room with a microwave. I understand this isn't possible without a studio in a Villa is that correct? (Unless of course we are staying at the family suites or cabins). But then we give up being super close to the parks.
Help! Budget...well...we are still trying to decide but would like to keep it at between 4 and 5 thousand or a little more for the accommodations and park tickets. But that is for 8 nights. Closer to 4 would be better though to allow more for spending money.
Should we bother with the water park option on our tickets? We have never had that in the past but thought maybe DS would like it and since we are going in June it might be a fun thing to do one afternoon with him.
