we have had a hard time deciding on resorts for our next vacation and decided while there to explore the maybe resorts to see what we like. If you are spending the day exploring a resort(s), eatting there etc, are you allowed to do any of the resort activities?

We were unsure about AKL, so we are going to go check it out on our next trip and see if we would like to stay there on the subsequent trip. We're going to view the animals, and dine at Boma. I've heard they have other activities like feeding the flamingos, learning about African drums, or listening to CM stories about Africa. Are you allowed to participate in any of those types of things?

Also, what about the marshmellow roast with Chip and Dale at Fort Wilderness. Are you allowed to go to that if you aren't staying there?

I concur with dansdad and just wanted to add that just about the only thing you can't do is swim in the pools.

We love touring the resorts. We still haven't seen them all, and we're usually at DW long enough that it's a nice break from park hopping. The resorts are beautiful, plenty to see and many have great restaurants where we enjoy eating.
It's FANTASTIC that Disney has done such a great job with their resort design. To us, touring the resorts is almost like going to another park!

Have fun! :goodvibes

Fabulous! I'm so glad to hear it. I think the resorts each have something unique or special about them! We will be there for 2 weeks next year, and plan to have several resort days and resort hopping days.

I do know that you can't pool hop and really we are going to have plenty of swimming/slides/water playtime on our trip without it! ::yes:: I would rather experience the other types of activities that are unique to a particular resort.
