Resort Hair Dryers

We are staying at PO-Riverside on our upcoming trip. My stepson and family is staying at Pop Century.

Do both resorts have in-room hair dryers?

If so, how good are they?

They both have nice hair dryers that work well.

I would call and double check but my understanding is that they all have them. I find them to work well - some are mounted on the walls and some are in a drawer in the bathroom (AKV). If you get there and it doesn't work, call Housekeeping as mine sparked and I had to call them and they immediately came and replaced it. ONE LESS THING TO PACK!

The in room dryers work surprisingly well. I have tons of hair and always bring my own dryer when I travel anywhere but I've stopped bringing my own to Disney. No need.

The Value Resorts have been in the process of replacing the pitiful wall-mounts with full-size dryers.

I am almost positive POP has completed the change-over and the All-Stars should also be completed or very close to completetion.

Here is the new dryer that is replacing the wall-mounts at the Values.

This is good to know. I was thinking I needed to bring mine I can't deal with those tiny wall ones. I wonder how AKL ones are?

Yes, the resorts have hair dryers. And they blow. LOL. Seriously. I stayed at BWV last May and the dryer was pathetic. I would have been better off asking DH to just blow on my hair...and I have a near-pixie cut!

I haven't stayed at POR, but at Pop, last time I was there, it was those very small ones on the wall - sort of a mini-hair dryer (this was last Sept). They are functional but not like one you'd have at home. Ours didn't work at all so they brought us a different one in a bag and it was more like what I'd use at home.

I was just thinking about this. I have a ton a hair and always brought my own. But last year we stayed at BLT and the hair dryer was awesome. Didn't need to use mine at all. This year we are staying at GFV and I'm hoping that since its a newer resort that they have the good hair dryers like BLT. Can anyone confirm??

All POP rooms should now have the full-size dryers and all wall-mounts should have been removed at POP.
