resort experts - split stay park ticket question

We have BW CL booked for this December. We decided a while back to add a night to the beginning of our trip, but BW was unavailable, so we booked AKL room only for the one night. We are planning on doing AK the following day (our first park day). Do we have to physically check in to BW before we can activate our magic bands for the park or will we be able to go straight from AKL to AK? Thanks so much in advance for any advice!

Yes, you can go to the park first and then the Boardwalk after. I recommend using online check-in. That way you'll be notified when your room is ready. Oh, great! Thank you so much!! So I'm assuming that means we'll have no problem with using dining credits that day as well? And, we'll be able to leave our luggage with AKL bellhop to be moved? So appreciative of your expertise and am definitely watching the CL thread!
