Staying at AKL and I haven't received anything in the mail from WDW resorts. I remember getting at least a confirmation letter when we had stays booked in the past. Does WDW still send these? Not sure if I need to worry or not. TIA

It takes about a week to get the confirmation, but yes, I have gotten confirmations and modifications (I've modified several times). You should call Disney and ask them about it.

It took close to 2 weeks for our reservation letter to arrive. We received the cardboard type thing in the mail even before the confirmation letter, but all that has inside is a "welcome" letter and some other minor information. It's cute packet, had some dining and activity suggestions, but nothing I didn't already know about :) It also included a park map.

I do have a question though: The reservation confirmation letter that I received shows us as still having a balance. About a week ago I paid the room off, so will I now get another confirmation letter in the mail, saying this??

I made our reservations a month ago and we leave in a week. Does it matter that I made room only reservations (2 rooms) on the WDW vacations website? I printed out the confirmation page, but I am unable to retrieve our reservation now.

I would contact them and recomfirm EVERYTHING. We made a reservation for Spring Break, I was waiting for the confirmation letter to send in the payment, ended up going out of town and, realized 2 days AFTER the deadline, that I still had NOT GOTTEN a letter. We called and of course..LOST our reservation for Spring Break. Just cant afford to do it without the AP discount. So...advice to all......DOUBLE AND RECHECK!

Hey, denisenh!!!

I would definitely call to confirm, but I booked AKL with CRO on Jan. 6, and still do not have a confirmation letter. Have called several times to confirm, and was told on Jan. 26 they would "send out another" - still nothing. They definitely have my res. thouth.

This is the first time in 8 trips that I haven't gotten any confirm. letter - others on the Dis have posted confirm. letter problems, they seem to be having trouble this year!!

Good Luck, and happy planning!!:wave2:

OK, I just called and all is well. The CM was able to look our reservation up and said as long as I have an ID and confirmation # we will be fine.
I would have keeled over if she couldn't find our reservation.
This is our first time not getting a reservation confirmation in the mail also. Maybe it is cost cutting measure?
Anyway, thanks for the advice! :earsgirl:

denisenh,
I am also a Denise! I also had the same question. We booked a week and a half ago and have not sent in the deposit yet, I was waiting for the confirmation information. I guess I had better call and get the address to send in my deposit.

Thanks for asking the question.

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

THe elusive confirmation sheets are getting harder and harder to get. I made new ressies and changed 2 existing ressies (nothing like working on 3 trips at the same time), so now join the ever popular waiting game for the confirmation sheets. It took 4 calls to get my last one, and my daughter had the nerve to make a change afterwards!!!

I like the way you describe them "the elusive" confirm. sheets!! And isn't that always the way - your kids change their minds after you've done the work?;)

We are also working on 3 trips... Anyway, I made reservations for the GF in November and the Poly in April on the same day. I received the Poly conformation letter in 7 days or so but not one for the GF. Weird I thought. So I waited for 2 weeks and still nothing. I called yesterday to have a conformation letter sent and the CM said they only send those out 45 days in advance of reservation. Weird? I told her I received one for my April reservation already. She then looked it up and said I was on schedule to have one sent out soon for the GF and to look for it in about a week. So I guess I will wait a week and call again if it doesn't come. I figure I will call every week until I get one, I guess that will only be 40 more phone calls.:D

Wouldn't it be nice if they could send the confirmations via email, like the airlines do? Then we could just print them down and have the hard copy. It would save costs, I would think, for Disney also.

That would be wonderful!!!

goofy4tink, that would be sssooo much easier. Oh, that's right, that's how they do it when you make a reservation for Universal hotels. I'm now a member of the waiting game for the confirmation sheets. Looking for 4 right now.

MinnieFan4ever: I share your pain and excitment of working on multiple trips. I never heard the 45 day excuse before. I have heard the "we sent it to you, so is your address correct?" YES, I got the other ones. Since we get CM discounted rooms, we are required to have multiple reservations if our stay is more than 7 nights, so I have 2 sheets for my April/May trip. 2 sheets for my July trip and 2 sheets for my October trip--kids tagging along on this one. Out of the six, I'm waiting for 4 of them to arrive. It's only been about 9 days, so not too concerned.

AN UPDATE: I got ALL of my confirmations in yesterday's mail. Total it took me 6 business days (9 total) to get all 5 of my modified confirmation sheets. But these are the Blue ones with Tink on them. They change color every time. I did call the toll free number and talked to the travel company this time (even though I didn't book through them and don't have a package--CM discounted rooms). so there is hope that this problem is resolving itself.

I've always received a confirmation letter, even after every modification. For this upcoming trip alone, I have received 5 confirmation letters, since I went from rack concierge to AAA concierge to standard to deleting DH from the ressie to my newly made CR rsssie. DH accuses me of modifying just to get mail from WDW!

I just called yesterday for this very reason. When made online reservations are not confirmed by mail. They are confirmed via email which is the only confirmation you will receive so its suggested that you print it out. Luckily I did that, as well, because, like you guys, I was expecting the letter to come any day. It didnt. :(

My res. was made over the phone, still no confirmation letter. I'm starting to think that they are mocking me during our conversations, and when I hang up they tell each other "she really thinks we're gonna send it!!"

LOL!! Too true. We made our reservation in early January through the website and have received nothing through the mail even after calling twice to request a confirmation to be sent  After spending thousands of dollars I think the very least the should do is mail a confirmation!

Richard.

I always call, rather than use the website, and at the end of the conversation, whether making or modifying ressies, I ask that a confirmation be mailed to me. I've always received them within a week. I especially request one when I call to pay off the balance! I know it is expensive to call them, but I need the peice of mind!
