I've seen this question asked a million times, but never paid attention to the answers b/c we always have 4 going. Well this time my stepson may be coming with us, so I wanted to get researching where we might stay with 5...the kids will be 19, 9 and 5, and then there's me and DH.

You can get 2 rooms at any hotel.

Or you can stay at the POR (the allow 5 to a room in certian rooms). And most of the deluxes I believe have rooms that allow 5.

You know :rolleyes1 I have seen the answer a million times as well.

It's a little known resort called Port Orleans Riverside. But mind you only the Alligator Bayou section is the only one with 2 queen size beds & a trundle bed. :rotfl2: :cool1:

You will be charged an extra $15 for the 19 year old, and as much as I love it, 1 room at POR may be hard to do with 3 adults and 2 children. You could get two rooms at a value, or standard rooms at Contemporary, Yacht & Beach Club, Boardwalk, GF, or Poly all sleep 5 ("deluxe" rooms at AKL or WL sleep 5, standard rooms here only sleep 4)

I believe it's two doubles and a trundle. It may be tight with that mix of people, but it depends on how close you all are and how long you are staying.

How much do you want to spend?

Beth

Poly has 2 queen beds... plus a twin sized day bed...... I would be sure to get a balcony as that makes the room seem even bigger.

As mentioned you could get 2 rooms at a value or moderate,

1 room at POR in the AB section with a trundle and $15 charge per night extra for the 3rd person who's over 18. Very tight squeeze though IMO for this option.

1 room at almost all the deluxes will have 2 queen beds and a daybed.

FW Cabins accommodate 6 with a murphy bed in the LR and a queen bed and set of bunk beds in the bdrm as well as a full kitchen -- only 1 bathroom though.

Or a 2bdrm villa any of the DVC resorts will accommodate up to 8 with a king bed in the master bdrm,a second bdrm with 2 queen beds, a queen size sleeper sofa in the LR, a jacuzzi tub in the master bath,a second bathroom, full kitchen, balcony and in room laundry.
You can rent points from a DVC member and it would cost DRAMATICLY less than to book directly through Disney CRO.

HTH's :wave2:

We just returned from POR AB and didn't have any trouble dealing with 5 people in one room and that's with 3 teenagers! Last year we had two rooms at Pop, but we enjoyed our stay at POR much more this year. It's definitely doable! :flower:
