Next weekend my mom, future mother in law and fiance will be going down to Disney World for 3 nights. We booked through Priceline on a hot rate for two of the nights and ended up getting All Star Music Family Suite which was great since we have 4 Adults. The last night I booked through Hotels.com at All Star Music in the Family Suite again to complete our stay. However, now I am reading that the pull out beds are not very good and I am worried since both of the mothers are in their higher 50's and have back issues to begin with. Being that there is only one "real" bed I'm afraid this won't work well for us anymore. Although, since this was a hot rate it seems I am locked in. So, I am wondering if any of you know if Disney would allow us to pay to upgrade to another hotel such as Art of Animation once we get there after trying out the pull out beds for one night? If not, has anyone had experience with calling either Disney or Priceline to upgrade or even downgrade into two standard rooms at All Star Music that would give us 4 real beds? Any suggestions are welcome, Thanks!

Do you have any recourse through Priceline? This is one of the reasons I don’t book through third party sites. If you book directly with Disney you have more flexibility.

This is from Priceline. Idk how you booked but from reading they don’t guarantee bed type- just that it’ll sleep however many are in room. We only use Priceline when it is 2 of us.

Since you booked third party imagine you have to deal with Priceline rather than Disney. You probably should figure your options sooner rather than later!

Good luck

Prior to arriving, Priceline owns your first reservation and Hotels.com owns your second reservation so, if you want to try to change your resort and/or room category prior to going, you are going to have to contact Priceline and Hotels.com. Once you check-in to your first reservation, you can then deal directly with the front desk regarding your stay there - whether switching rooms or resorts (be prepared for them not being able to switch you and paying more for the rooms). You would then need to deal with the front desk CM's regarding your second reservation as well as you have two different reservations. Personally, I would try to get this done before you go. With two reservations over a 3 night stay, I wouldn't want to be spending a ton of time dealing with the front desk and trying to switch resorts and rooms. Even with two reservations at one resort, you will have to "check-out" and "check-in" again and, while you can request to stay in the same room, it's not guaranteed.

That is the down side to those deals, you have no flexibility and the only way will be to ask if you can change it at check-in and asking for 2 regular rooms, but you will lose your discount and most likely pay rack rate. Doesn't AOA suites have the same type of setup as ASMU-Suites? Plus, how would you work the 2 rooms, would mom & FMIL want to share a room?
I think you are going to be stuck, so I see if the mom's are uncomfortable and then look into getting a mattress egg topper or mem foam topper, luckily it's only 3 nights.

My 70+ year old aunt quite likes the pullouts at Disney. She slept on either the chair or ottoman pullout in the AS suite and had no complaints.

If your moms are friends and wouldn’t mind sharing, they could take the bed and you two could take the living room sleep spaces...

Thanks for looking into this. I have already contacted Disney Wholesale to have 4 adults in the room which was no problem and all of us reflect so in my disney experience account. The only reason I am thinking of waiting is to see if the beds are actually that bad since some reviews are mixed. Thank you.

Good to hear that the beds might not be that bad. This is an option to let them have the bed but not sure if they would mind sharing or not haven't actually asked. Thank you.

Yes, at the time of booking it made sense to risk it with this deal since we just wanted to be on Disney property for under $600 a night. Sadly, now some cheaper rooms have come up but oh well that is the risk I took and luckily with this deal I am still paying less even if the beds aren't great. And yes, mother's would share a room and have already planned on sharing their bathroom/ sleeping space as is so we will just see when we get there I suppose. Thank you.

Thank you for the tips. In the past I've always done multiple reservations and never had a problem with checking in and out and have always been given the same room...maybe that's just my good luck. But, I've decided I'll ask Disney Wholesale and see if there is anything that can be done if not we will wait and see how bad it is when we get there. Thank you.

I am confused. Who/ what is Disney Wholesale? What does it have to do with anything? You booked through 2 different third party sites.
