resort already booked for spring 2016

So I was going book resort stay at aoa in the mermaid section for spring break. When I called, they said they are already completely booked! What are the odds of a room opening up?

I don't believe 2016 pricing is even out yet. If you go on the website you can't book past Decemer 2015. I think 2016 prices come out in July.

I'd try calling back and see if you get the same answer. Misinformation is not that uncommon when calling and it's even more frustrating to get misinformation after sitting on hold for what seems like 3 days. I'd be shocked though if AOA was already completely booked up for next spring.

That was what I thought until I read you can book room only by calling them direct. Online reservations and package reservations are not available yet. I was trying to avoid all of the school groups but still get a value resort price so that's why I wanted aoa mermaid section. I ended up getting pop century. I was afraid they were going to run out of those rooms too if I waited.

Wow, that's crazy! I can't imagine that many people calling for RO before the rates even come out. Maybe try calling back and checking with a different CM. There may have been a glitch or something...? Keep checking back. I'm really hoping they get those rates out soon.

You can book a room only at current highest rack rate 499 days out and it'll adjust later.

OP - I'm willing to bet they just haven't opened up much inventory yet for next year. Plus with their system being so wonky, I'd keep checking.

Just the standard, little mermaid section was booked solid.

Sounds like a mistake on the CMs part. I would call back. I called a couple months ago to book a pirate and pals cruise and they said every day of my trip was booked. I knew I had read it was fairly easy to get this reservation when calling ahead so I hung up and called back. Got a different CM and the date I had wanted.
I also had called in advance a year ago to book a little mermaid room before prices were out and got it no problem. Call back.

That's happened to me with dining before too -- I tried to book really early on and I got the message about nothing being available for my dates/selections. I agree with aaarcher86 that inventory probably just hasn't been opened up yet. Keep trying/calling and I'll bet one day everything will suddenly be available.

Hello I experienced a similar issue booking the Little Mermaid Room for spring 2016. I initially tried to book 3/25 - 4/2 and the room was not available. I called another day to speak with someone different and they confirmed it was not available as well. So then I tried booking 3/24 - 4/1 still not available so I tried 3/26 - 4/3 and it was available. If your dates are flexible at all maybe you can try the same thing?

It doesn't hurt to keep trying!! Just to be safe my ILs and I have already reserved our rooms at rack rate at CR TPV. We want 3 rooms together, and I didn't want to chance it. There might be more people like us (you and I) that want what they want, and are planning way ahead.

Thanks so much for all of your help. You were right! I called back the next day and sure enough, they had a mermaid room available. She did say they were very popular so it was not unheard of for them to sell out early. So happy I got one.
