Looking at using Resort Airline Check-in (RAC) for our unfortunate return back to the "real world" after a week at Disney and some advice from those who have actually successful done what I am hoping we can do. First, we will NOT be using MDE, but driving a rental from our resort to MCO. We will have a car seat for the 9m DS. To help with handling all the luggage, looking at using RAC so that all we have when we get to the airport is a carry-on suitcase, backpack, stroller and separate car seat.

Question: If we check all our standard luggage at our resort, can we then go to the ticket counter and add our car seat so that we don't have shlep it through the TSA checkpoint? The plan is then to proceed to the checkpoint having already checked suitcases at resort and car seat at MCO ticket counter.

Thoughts?

We just returned. We rented a car (and carseat). We used RAC and they handled all our luggage. When we got to the airport we returned the car (and the carseat) and proceeded to the terminal. Very easy.

Sorry but I can't help with info on using your own carseat. Have a wonderful trip.

It's safer on your car seat to take it and use it on the plane or gate check it. I don't trust luggage handlers to keep my car seat from getting trashed.
