Resort Airline Check-in question – checking all but one bag at resort

OK – here’s the scenario… DD5 and I will be heading to the World in January. I will be renting a car, not taking DME. We’ll have 2 suitcases and DD’s carseat (plus a couple of carry-ons). I would like to use the Resort Airline Check-in on our departure day to check the suitcases, but I will still need the carseat until we get to the airport and return the rental car. The carseat is considered an oversized item, and the last time we checked in at MCO they took our suitcases at the counter and had us drop the carseat across the hall in the oversized bag area.

So I guess I’ve got a couple of questions… First, can I use RAC if 2 of my bags (the suitcases) are being checked at the resort, and the third bag (carseat) is being checked at the airport? Second, will the RAC desk tag my carseat bag for me so when I get to MCO I can just drop it in the oversize bag area and not have to stand in line at the airport? Not a big deal if I have to stand in line at the airport – I’ll just be happy if I can at least take care of the suitcases at the resort. Since it’s just me and a 5-year-old, once we drop off the rental car there’s no way I’d be able to drag in 2 suitcases, the carseat and carry-ons by myself, all while keeping an eye on DD!

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who may have experience with this situation. Thanks!
