If I have Southwest's Early Bird check in for my return flight, can I still check my bags at the Resort Airline check in desk at the resort? I've not been able to find a clear answer on this.

thanks,

Absolutely :). We ALWAYS get EB, and always check our bags at the WL. You will get another benefit - EB means you will be "checked in" 36 hours before your flight... you don't have to do this on your smart phone or computer.

SW will check you in at 36 hours, but you won't be able to see your boarding number nor get an actual boarding pass until the 24 hour mark. At RAC if it's within your 24 hours they will give you your boarding passes too!

It's really no different than having EBCI for your flight out of your home airport. SW checks you in at the 36 hr mark. You can print out your boarding pass, at home, at the 24 hr mark, or do it at the airport. You have to go to the counter anyway if you have checked bags.
RAC works the same way. EBCI has no effect on your bag check.

We always get EBCI for the trip home. We also use the RAC and have had no problems. Just be sure the RAC is open during the time you need to check the luggage

Ok, thanks. I had read someone else say that because EB automatically checks you in, that they were not allowed to check their bags at the resort. I guess that was misinformation.

I'm pretty sure I did EB in Oct and it let me check in my luggage.

Also SW has digital BP. You can go online or in the APP at 24 hours and tell it to send your BP in a text message. It has a QR/Bar code that will be scanned at the gate (you just have to show it to security). I did this in Jan (to early in the morning to use RAC) and at Orange County (for my DLR trip) and it worked great.

I just did a few days ago. We had boarding numbers A25 & 26. Just check your boarding passes before you get to the airport. I didn't and when we got to security I noticed that both passes were in my 9yo niece's name so I had to go back to ticketing anyway.
