Hi

I haven't been around much since our trip at the beginning of June - trying to keep away the disney blues:sad1:

We are now considering a very short trip in a couple of weeks arriving Thursday lunchtime and leaving sometime Saturday staying in the above hotel (for price and availability). I know the hotel is right near the train station so my question is does anybody know if we will be able to get to the park in time for EMH in the mornings and more importantly will it be easy enough to get back again after park closing?? Also is it really easy to buy tickets and to know where you need to go or would we be better off driving to the park everyday??

Thanks Jo

You can easily make EMH (I presume you have a Dream pass?).

The trains start quite early, certainly before 7:30am. It's only 2 minutes on the train so you'd get their as quick as if you were staying in the Cheyenne/Santa Fe.

Getting back to the hotel late isn't a problem either. The trains run very late. Last August I got one back after midnight.

I don't know how familiar you are with Val D Europe but Residhome is literally next door to the station. The train station has 2 exits, 1 at either side of the platform. If you take the exit the smaller exit (the one nearest to Paris) the Residhome will be right in front of you as you exit. It's a great location for a Disney trip.

Tickets are very easy to sort. There are machines in the station. The first thing the machine asks you is what language you want. After that, just buy a single journey ticket looking up the station names. For the journey to Disney the station name is Marne La Vallee Chessy. To get back the station is Val D Europe. You can buy them in bulk so that you don't have to keep going to the machines.

I certainly wouldn't even consider using the car!

Hello :goodvibes

No pb getting to the park for EMH, the trains start running around 5.00 am and no pbs for getting back to the hotel either as they stop at around 1.00 am

They run every 10-15 minutes and it takes like 2/3 minutes from Val d'Europe to MLV

It will take you longer to drive but if you have AP's of course you don't pay the parking as 15€ every day sure adds up

A carnet of 10 tickets for adults is 13,70€, half price for 4-10 year olds and under 4's travel free. It's 20% cheaper to buy a carnet than single tickets

hth :)

Our rooms have always overlooked the train entrance and we have watched people running for the trains as early as 6:00am

As there are 5 of us we have always driven (we have dream ap's)

We have paid and parked underground - if parking on the street not sure whether you would always get a space when you return

Thank you all so much for your help

I have just ordered our dream passes from ce multivantages

Thank you so much for this, we have never stayed off site before and are a bit nervous about getting about

Thanks I think we will only be going to and from the park 4 times so will only need 8 adult tickets and 8 childrens tickets. Do you know how long the rest of the tickets would be valid for?

Thanks for your help. I think we would be tempted to pay to park. One of the things we have loved about our previous trips staying onsite was not having to drive every day so I we will probably use the train.

There is no date of use on the tickets so you can keep them and use them again weeks/months/years later :)

Excellent thanks. Now we will be annual pass holders I think we will need at least another 2 visits in the next year.:rotfl:

Hi, I am now worrying about the journey there. Is the hotel easy to find once we come off the A4?

If you are driving to the park first then on your way out from the main car park you need to take the first right which I think is signposted Val D'Europe.

At traffic lights turn left
First roundabout (entrance to Outlet Village) go straight over
Second roundabout (entrance to Val D'Europe) go straight over
Before the next roundabout you will see the hotel on the left hand side
Third roundabout, third exit and then turn left at traffic lights (main road finishes)
Turn left at minor junction, follow road past next minor junction - underground car park is a gated entrance on left.
If you park there and one of you goes in and checks in, they will activate your room card for the car park.

If you are driving straight there, then you could come off at junction 13 and go back under the A4
I think it is the 4th roundabout turn right and you will arrive from the opposite direction to the above (so you will turn right off the main road).

Hope this helps

Even I got confused after reading what I had written above

For a clearer picture, go to maps.google.co.uk and enter Hotel Ibis Marne La Vallee Val d'Europe

This will give you an exact location

I did try typing in Residhome etc but it gave somewhere completely different in Bussy Saint Georges

thanks for the help, it seems quite easy but I will have a look on google maps later when I have a bit more time to get my bearings:goodvibes

Thanks, I have had a look at the map now and it really does seem very simple:goodvibes
