Seaworld has a great weekend package for January that includes length of stay tix. I'm thinking of the one bdrm suite. Any pros? cons? The price looks good but I'm wondering about the proximity to Seaworld oh yeah and also the free hot breakfast buffet? thanks in advance. Kim

That's funny -- I was just looking at this hotel this morning. I haven't stayed here so I'm sorry I can't give a personal recommendation. However, tripadvisor . com has pretty solid reviews posted.

We will be staying there in March. Yesterday when we got off the Wonder, we had some time to kill before our flight so we drove back to Orlando to visit the Titanic exhibit. (It was very well done. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested.)

While in Orlando, we decided to drive to the Residence Inn to check it out before our trip in March. We went in the lobby and used the restroom and walked around a bit. It looks very nice and clean. The pool area was closed as it was chilly but it also looked very nice. There were lots of people in the lobby enjoying the breakfast. Sorry, but I didn't get up close to the food to see what was offered. It was also very close to Sea World and I believe they have a free shuttle if you won't have a car available. The rate I got for March was $161/night AAA rate which seems very reasonable.

Yay!`For once I have information for others on this board! Just stayed there December 13th and 14th. It's nice. The rooms aren't impressive, but clean and comfortable. Sofa bed mattress was not great but DD, age 8, can sleep on anything and had no complaints... I might hesitate to put a grownup there. Kitchen equipped with basics. Pool was lovely (small compared to Disney resorts but then the hotel is a lot smaller too).

They were offering FREE grocery delivery... you leave a list with the front desk in the AM, they deliver the stuff to your room by evening, and you get charged only the price of the groceries. We didn't do this because our stay was short so can't tell you if it works well.

The breakfast buffet was a BIG plus! It was good and plentiful, in a nice setting. Nothing cooked fresh to order, but the steam-table stuff was pretty fresh and well prepared. There were toasters to do your own bagels and toast. Good fruit. The coffee, well, it wasn't espresso drawn by a barista but it was potable. You could breeze in and out quickly or linger.

Didn't try the shuttle to parks because we had a rental car but SeaWorld is really close and convenient. Very, very easy to do the rest-in-the-middle-of -the-day if your family likes that approach.

One thing, it might be worth requesting and paying for a poolview room if traffic noise disturbs you. From our room, we could hear a continuous low drone from I4. I stopped noticing it after 10 minutes.

Have a great trip!
