Residence Inn Garden Grove

Anyone stayed there?? What did you think of it?? I have reservations for the 2 BR Kids Suite for August 2005. Do you suggest taking the car to the parks or the shuttle transportation? Any opionons or information would be greatly appreciated!!

I, too, have a reservation here in 2005. I would like reviews. I think sometimes it is referred to as Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area, even though it is located in Garden Grove. Help!

I toured the hotel in February, and I'm now booked there for my trip in December. It's a very nice property, the rooms are nicely done and the staff is very friendly. They didn't know I was coming so it's not like they prettied things up for me, but the overall impression was that it was a very clean, well run property.

We have stayed there.

We were in the 2 bd kid suite the first night then switched to a regular 2 bd suite. I liked the layout of the regular 2 bd just a little better than the kidsuite - but not a huge difference. The kids thought the bunks in the kidsuite were fun.

Everything was new and clean. The front desk staff was very helpful when we had a last minute change of plans. The breakfast was great.

Parking was our biggest complaint. Lots of compact (and I DO mean VERY compact) spots and if the hotel is full they may have to direct you to their 'overflow' parking. Not the end of the world - but kind of a pain if it's late and you're tired.

When we were there they shared a free shuttle service with several other properties in the area - but I know some of the hotels were switching over to ART. I'm not sure what they're using now so don't know if I can help with that.
