How difficult is it to get a reservation at a resort other than your home resort during the adventure or choice season? In particular, BCV or BWV?

For Adventure Season, your best bet would be late January or mid September (after Labor Day but before the start of Food & Wine). Dec 1-14 will be very difficult: cheap points-wise plus all of the holiday decorations and festivities make early December one of the most popular times for DVCers.

For Choice Season, F&W runs from late Sep to early Nov which overlaps with most of Choice Season. Your best bet might be that one week lull between the end of F&W and whenever families generally start arriving for their Thanksgiving trips. From Thanksgiving through New Year's Day will be very busy.

So out of those two Seasons, there are probably 2 weeks in January, 2 weeks in September and 1 week in November where you would have a pretty good chance to book BCV or BWV 7 months out.

I called 4 days prior to leaving for a last minute mini trip and was able to get a standard view studio at the BW. This was for the 7,8,9 and 10th of May.

We have never been in a situation where we were unable to be accomodated.

I got a 1 bdrm at BWV for Aug 22 - 26 about a month ago.

You just never know until you call.

Good luck. :goodvibes :goodvibes

I have reserved preferred and BW view for January. BC was open too.

We had no problem making a reservation for a one bedroom at BWV for September 20th-28th at the 7 month mark
