reserving a villa for our friends

When I reserve a villa for friends, what amenities can they use? Can they pool hop (except to the non-pool hopping pools)? To "rent" a DVD, they actually need to rent it, yes? How much does it cost to rent a DVD? Can they use the laundry facilities provided for studio dwellers? Can they use the community hall? Can they park at the parks for free? Etc.

they have all rights of any onsite resort guest at wdw.

nope. this is a DVC member perk, so unless they have a member card, they can't "hop" legally. (if they are cheeky and go to another resorts pool and it's not busy and the lifeguard cuts them some slack, they can consider themselves lucky...)

pretty sure this is a "yes." they just need their room key.

i'd expect so.

no idea about the DVD rentals - sorry.

yes. this is an onsite perk, not a DVC-specific perk.

Thank you. These folks would never, ever break a rule and in fact, wanted me to find out what they can and cannot do so they would not inadvertently do something not allowed. I will tell them not to pool hop.

If they are paying you for this reservation, they cannot get any member perk. BUT, if you are gifting the reservation to them, they may be entitled to some member perks. Just let MS know you are gifting the reservation to them.

I don't think MS has a clear set of rules for guests, other than pool hopping. They may (or may not) receive free internet, but likely they will get it.
DVC member dining and shopping discounts are also "iffy." Many servers will give those discounts by virtue of the room key saying "DVC Member." Some venues want to see the member card, others just accept the room key.

They can not receive the discount on Annual Passes, you definitely need a membership card for that.

The theme park parking, room charging, resort delivery of purchases, bus transportation, etc., are onsite perks, not DVC specific perks, so they will receive those like any other Disney guest.

Thanks all, after talking with my friends they said they would be happy if all they can do is use the laundry, use the villa pool and park at the parks. I think they are covered without my calling MS.
