I am gonna book my trip this week with a dining plan. This is the first time I have done the dining plan.

3-3-11 will be 180 days can I made reservations before my trip is paid in full.

Any tips to get the most for my money..... we are simple people we do enjoy a good steak but not to hip on the fancy foods.

Thanks
Renae

This really depends on you family, what they like and when/how they want to eat.

For us, we generally make 1 TS reservation for each evening. The exception is that I tend to prefer lunch at Akershus princess dining b/c it works with our Epcot tour plan my daughter MUST eat with the princesses at least once eat trip.

Since our daughter is still small, we do several character meals. Those tend to be expensive and is one reason the dining plan works for us.

If you are going to pay any meals out of pocket, b-fasts are generally less expensive than lunc and lunch is less expensive than dinner.

Renae,
I answered you on a different thread but wanted to make sure you saw this. You don't have to have a trip booked or paid for in order to make reservations at the 180 day mark. If you're staying onsite you can make 10 days of reservations at 180 days from your check in. If you're staying offsite you can make reservations one day at a time starting at 180 days out.

Hope this helps!

These are some good 1 credit places that we have had good steaks:

Le Chefs of France (fillet always on the menu)

Grand Floridian Cafe (strip steak)

Rose & Crown (They had a fillet last Sept., don't know if they always have it)

Coral Reef (strip steak)

Who is traveling with you? Any children?
Do you prefer big breakfast? The way my family likes to travel is- light breakfast (mostly in the room or on the way to RD), light/moderate lunch and then a nice sit down meal after our afternoon break. So, with the exception of 2 meals, all of my adrs are for dinner. Even the 2 meals are not really breakfasts- they are 10:30 am meals, so almost brunch. ;)

But some families prefer just the opposite- they like big meals for breakfast. They prefer really early adrs to get into the parks before the crowds.

So...if you give us some info about your family, we can give you some good recommendations...;)
