how far in advance can you make your ressies?

i was just looking at christmas for 09 and nothing comes up. i was only checking to try to find out how far in advance.

i really want dec 10 christmas. approx 22dec10.

could someone give me a time frame or approx date that i should make the ressies?

You can make reservations 499 days out, I found when making reservations last year for this year it would not let make them for 10 days. I started changing and extended my time to 17 days and I got them ok. I just recently canceled the first 7 days to get what I wanted

Also, keep in mind that even though it officially opens 499 days from the last day you want on your reservation not the first day, that it all depends on when Disney decides to release the inventory into the system.

For thanksgiving, they just fully released the inventory this last weekend, two weeks after it should have been available.
