Hello,

Well, I've made my reservations. Since I'm taking my DD;s boyfriend with us, I needed something that was somewhat like a suite. I called many places and it was just so expensive. Settled on Best Western Park Place Inn. It is a suite with 2 queens and then a pull out couch. Got a great rate and I'm hoping that it works out. Does anyone have any reviews or opinions that they would like to share. It seemed to be across the street and also had the breakfast in the morning. Reviews and suggestions welcome. We will be going March 30 - April 3, 2015. Thank you.

I've stayed at the BWPPI a lot...the word "suite" is a little misleading in some respects. It's basically a standard hotel room (the two beds are next to each other like in a normal room) with a sitting area the is separated by a low half dividing wall (the wall is about the 3.5 feet tall and a little shorter than the bed). So the room is bigger than a standard hotel room, but it's not really got multiple "rooms". The couch is in the sitting area. The rooms themselves aren't anything amazing, but they're acceptable to me. I haven't had any problems.

The breakfast is over at Captain Kidd's (next door) in the upstairs area. It's nothing fancy, but it is hot and can be filling. It's pretty standard food. They have paper plates and cups, so you can take the food back to your room if you want.

For my family, the best part of staying at BWPPI is the proximity to the parks. It's across the street from the main entrance, so it's a very short walk to and from the parks.

I've never stayed there so I can't comment on the rooms. I found this page with pictures of their suites. http://parkplaceinnandminisuites.com/room-options/

However, I have stayed many times at Desert Inn & Suites. They have a variety of suite options B-1, C-1, C-2...... you can "click" on floor plans to see how the rooms are figured. http://www.anaheimdesertinn.com/hotel-rooms-and-suites.htm

I've stayed in both a C-1 and C-2. One has two private sleeping areas and the other has three. One has two full bathrooms and the other has a bath and a half. The rates are better the sooner you book. The rooms were quiet and the beds are very comfortable.

I gone with four of my grandkids, plus one of their friends, total of 6 people. The suite with three private sleeping areas worked out best. I had a space for myself and I could separate the girls and the boys. Two full bathrooms was a nice touch too.

I believe BWPPI discontinued breakfast.
Did this change happen recently? They still had breakfast in late September and their website still lists "complementary continental breakfast" as one of the amenities.

I edited my post when I realized I was thinking of the Tropicana.

Sorry for the false alarm..... I'll slap my hand.

We love BWPPI, but if you are looking for a "suite" for privacy, this doesn't fit that criteria at all. It really is just a longer room...the partial wall doesn't offer any privacy. The other drawback is just the one bathroom.

Like I said, we really like it there, but it may not be what you are looking for.

I stayed in the 2 queen room, what you can't see in the picture is that there's a coffee table that has to be moved by the door if you pull the sofa bed out. You also loose anywhere to sit but the beds once its out. I agree with PPs that the little half wall protrusion doesn't offer any privacy or separation.

It's my favorite place to stay because it's so close to the front gates (really the closest hotel there is.)

Room was fine, pretty basic. I did like how long the counter area was by the mirror. Toilet and shower are in a separate area. We stayed in a King w/ the sofa bed/couch option. I agree, the wall separating the couch from the bed(s) isn't very tall, more cosmetic than practical.
